I acknowledge this. Obviously people did not know when these holidays were created what exact day Jesus actually died or was born. They chose the day, usually a pagan holiday that coincides with Christian beliefs. It is called symbolism. Pretty sad day when a Chrsitian has to ask non believers to OPEN THEIR MINDS.....

Easter is a lunar calendar calculation, which is why the solar calendar date (Julian, Gregorian, etc.) changes every year. Christians have always tried to get Easter right - the exact anniversary of the resurrection of Jesus - because it's the most important day of the year in the Christian calendar. Good Friday is intended to be the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. But the exact calculation has been a source of disagreement since a very long time ago, separating the Celtic Churches from the Roman Church, the Roman Church from the Orthodox Churches, etc. Each church thinks they have it right and the others wrong. In contrast, I don't know of any serious Christian church which believes that Christmas is Jesus' exact birthday. It's not supposed to be. Instead, it's supposed to be an annual commemoration and celebration of Jesus' birth. If I remember rightly, Christmas took over the Roman solar calendar celebration of the feast of Saturnalia, December 25. Taking over popular holidays and holy places was common in the early church. Same thing happens in the U.S. today. If you already had a holiday called Armistice Day, why would you change the date, and disrupt the existing social pattern, when you needed to come up with Veterans' Day? Wouldn't make much sense and would get a lot of people mad.
Now, if you want to try to be insulting to Christians based on history, that's your right, but I suggest that you need to become a better historian first. The idea that Christianity took over early holidays and holy places is not news. And claiming that Christians don't think that Good Friday is the day that Jesus was crucified just makes you look silly.

Jerry is right on. Nobody used the Gregorian calendar in biblical days. There is legitimate confusion and disagreement when it comes to the exact day of the crucifixion and resurrection. This does not change the deeper meaning.

Well, the date changes every year depending on when Easter falls so no, I don't believe it's the correct day. But it was a Friday.

I know that it isn't. I know that the days were changed to coincide with some pagan religion.
There is no use to make a fuss of it, its not like the New Testament says "You must celebrate this on this exact day". Its about loving God, and loving your neighbor like yourself.

Christians don't know anything.
They need holidays so they will know when to be charitable.
Christianity is a lazy mans religion
Jesus didn't rise from the grave. he never died. that's why he came to Mary and other apostles after the "crucifixion"
He said to touch him. because they thought they seen a ghost but he was alive. he never died.
Jesus own words.

Again....
The 'when' doesn't matter....
The fact is: He died and rose again so that I can do the same someday....
Praise God
