You say read romans when it comes to this but when other issues are brought up that dont coincide with your christian practices you bring up the NT and say that it has given you new rules.
LOL Christians are lazy.
Christianity is a simple religion.
You can be a jerk and a drunk, a molester and all you have to do is believe in jesus and say im sorry and all is ok. your going to heaven.

If it's Coke....
Then I do
Anything done in excess is wrong so....don't try to condemn those of us who have the occasional glass of wine

If God was opposed to Christians drinking then why did Jesus turn water into wine? John 2
Why was wine told to be used "for the sake of your stomach"?
1 Tim 5:23
Why does the bible say that wine makes the heart rejoice? Psalm 104:15
see also Isaiah 25:6, 55:1, Joel 3:18, where wine is metaphorically spoken of as a blessing from God
like today, it's not the use of alcohol that is considered bad, it's the ABUSE.
the bible condems drunkards saying that these shall not inherit God's Kingdom, to avoid "drinking matches and revelries"
also that no appointed man should be given to "drinking alot of wine"
it shows a lack of accurate knowledge to accuse christians that do drink as only following 'part' of their bible

This is an age old question, some people think its wrong to drink alcahol full stop, others think its ok in moderation. There is no verse that says "do not drink" but there are many verse's that say how people sin when they have had a drink. obviously every bodys limit is different. Did jesus drink wine? again people i know say no he didnt cos wine then was non- fermented grape juice? I do drink occaisionally at home of an evening this is what i feel is right for me . its a journey you have to go through with God every one is different and on a subject like this you have to follow His lead!

I have a glass of wine on occasion. I don't get drunk like the
Bible condemns.
But a lazy-man's religion! You've got it sweetheart. Because
I don't have to do anything. Jesus Christ the Lord has done it
all for me. Phil 2:13. for it is God who works in you both to will
and to do for His good pleasure. Christianity isn't a works trip like the other world religions. Besides, the Apostle Paul says
your good work are "skubula" Greek word for DUNG! Phil 3:8. The word in my translation is rubbish, but he really said
Dung! By the way, I'm using Dung as a polite translation.

I occasionally have a drink. But I'm curious, which verse exactly says "thou shalt not drink"?
If you're talking about the verses saying that our bodies are God's and not ours and to treat our bodies as God's property, then that still doesn't say don't drink. An occasional drink does not damage your body. In fact some alcoholic drinks can benefit your health if used in moderation.
And my final arguement: no human being is perfect. We all sin in various ways. That is the reason God sent Jesus to die for us. He forgives us of those sins. He knows our naturally weak natures and will not send a man to hell for having a beer now and then.

Christians who drink alcohol carry ruined testimonies to the outside world and also to those in the church. One group that is always hurt by poor testimonies are children. They tend to follow the parents in their training. Don’t you think it is confusing to a child to see Daddy or Mommy praying and then have a few beers or smokes? When the children begin to emulate this pattern for themselves, will the parents then beat them for learning their sinful ways? Ask yourself the following question the next time you pop a top or light up, "What spiritual benefit do I gain from this?" Any compromise with the world will always ruin your testimony and keep you from growing in your Christian walk. You may be angry for reading this but the fact remains:
(1 Cor 6:20 KJV) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Drinking alcohol does not glorify God in your body, instead it actually begins to destroy your body which is the violation of the sixth commandment.

I drink sometimes. St. Paul says to be a man of little drink. It think that means we are allowed to have a glass of wine sometimes. I am not aware of any part of the bible that says people can't drink.
However getting drunk, or being a drunk, is not condoned.

Wine and ale have long been associated with rites and rituals in religion. There are some versions of religions and publishing's of bibles that declare drinking to be sinful. It just depends on what you want to believe in. And yes, I do drink - beer is a good friend of mine.

I drink.
I have a couple.
I am free my dear.
Christ came to set me free not put me in bondage to the law.
I am saved by Grace. I shall not be swayed by religious teachings away from the truth.
Have you ever heard the word freedom.
Interesting the preachers say freedom and then teach the law. Put the law on them.
Gal 5:1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
Gal 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
I'm the real thing my dear. Not many like me.

I don't drink, but it's for personal reasons. The Bible doesn't say not to drink. It says not to be drunk.
I think it's so sad that this is just a pathetic attempt to make Christians look like hypocrites.
