Why is it that so many do not believe in God. I dont doubt there is any coincidence that not one mistake has been found in the bible and not one person on this earth has ever was able to discredit the bible or the exsistence of God. every word in the bible is true and prophecies made thousands of years ago are still being found true today. The bible talks about Dinosaurs, it talks about the number of stars in the sky, the bible is consistent with meterology in Ecclesiastes 1:6, the bible talks about cave me in Job 30:5,6, it talks about the recirculation of water, it talks about hydrothermal vents 3000 years before being discovered by science. Also the bible talks about the earth being circular. Only to find out hundreds/Thousands of years later its true. When are we going to stop trying to discredit the bible and open our eyes to the fact that thousands of years have past and no one has been able to. Just live by faith because in the end on judgment day we will all know the truth

The natural man cannot comprehend the things of God because they must be spiritually discerned
And I was once a natural man.....but now I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb

Leaving out all personal convictions, Yes, the Bible does contain many factual historical accounts and predictions, but there is no hard, scientific evidence of the existence of God in the Bible. No one person or group of people has ever been able to scientifically prove the existence of God, and no one person or group of people have been able to prove that Jesus was more than a great man.
That is why religious groups insist that you "have faith", and "just believe". They don't want you to question the validity of what they are saying. They get uncomfortable when someone wants proof, because there is no real proof, just faith.
In my opinion it would be easier for more people to believe in something that they knew, without a doubt it exists. Like the Sun, we know it exists, and we don't question it. We don't expect people to just believe there is an enormous ball of fire in space that provides us with the ability to see, they just believe it, because they can see it, feel it, sense it, and benefit from it.
Any religion that uses the Bible in it's beliefs is a faith based religion, not a fact based religion, and until proof is provided, you will have this debate under discussion.

The Bible is not intended to be a scientific treatise yet it does not contradict science. Science can never perform the miracles of God which comes about out of the power of the Spirit. Yes we live by faith knowing that the unseen and eternal is more important than the seen and temporal. God who is Spirit cannot be and is not hard scientific evidence.

It is not that people don't live by faith but reality is that every one believes in different faiths..And when one believes in one faith he does not want to understand the the reasons of others faith. We become religiously blind .In fact we fail to introspect and start dividing the religious feelings of others. We insist that MY religion is true and absolute. After all we all are human beings and in reality we have no power of tolerance and we have also a misconception that we hold good reasoning and logical power. Those who have such powers are in fact worshiped and believed. This is the source of faith. This is all belief. Belief may be in God or book or in any person. This is how people live by faith. In Bible it is nicely said that Heaven is not a place but is a thought. Live by this faith.Amin!

"not one mistake has been found in the bible"
The Devil Tempted "God" For 40 Days: "And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted
of Satan." (Mark, 1:12-13)
The Devil Tempted "God" Continuously: "And when the devil had ended all the
temptation, he departed from him for a season." (Luke, 4:13)
Like the Sinners, "God" Was Tempted In All Things: "But (he) was in all
points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." (Hebrews, 4:15)
True God Cannot be Tempted With Evil: "God cannot be tempted with evil,
neither tempteth he any man." (James,
1:13)
Only The Ungodly Are Tempted With Evil: "But every man is tempted, when he
is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed." (James, 1:14)
THE MISSION OF "GOD"
The Confession and Repentance of "God": before the beginning of his public
ministry: "Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist" (Matthew, 3:13), "which signified the confession of sins" (Matthew, 3:6), "and repentance from sins
(Matthew, 3:11).
I call that Fair Evidence of Iconsistencies in the bible.
How about you?

What's the question?
I could live on faith that I don't have to work or obtain food, but food will magically appear tomorrow. Will it? No. Even if it's written in a book? No.
I could live on faith that my mortgage will be paid without my help. Will it? No. Even if it's written in a book? No.
I could live on faith that, no matter how sick I am, I will be healed without ever seeing a doctor. Will I? No. Even if it's written in a book? No.
What is it that you're not understanding here? This world is not faith based, it's reality based, and you are Earth based.

Actually, I don't believe in God! Still, there's a power that maybe protects us or even control us, but I don't think it's a human person, born on Earth!

What a silly conclusion...
God is the last harbor for romantic fools and mule-headed people in denial of the truth. Faith in ones fantasy is merely faith in ones self without a store of reliable facts to call upon.
