You can't be serious. You don't really believe that it requires faith to see through the bible myth, do you?

Drink up!
-------------------------
"So being an atheist obviously requires at least as much faith as being a Christian"
That's where you're wrong. Google "burden of evidence", and learn something.
Why didn't you put any thought into this before posting it? Don't you know that making a fool of yourself in public is a bad idea?
This is the kind of comment that makes me believe that religious belief is generally the product of ignorance. You don't see atheists repeating the same ignorant comments over and over again, but it seems there's an endless supply of believers who do.

The occurence of miracles demonstrates the existence of spiritual power. True signs, wonders and miracles are performed with the power of the Holy Spirit. False signs, wonders and miracles are performed with the power of the devil. If there is spiritual power both God, the Spirit, and the devil, the evil spirit, exist. Let the antheists prove that the miracles performed by God's servants have not happened then there is no God.

Proof there is no god:
Assuming you believe in an all-powerful god, then answer this question:
Can god create a mountain so large that he cannot destroy it?
If you answer yes, then his power is limited (he can only destroy mountains of smaller size). Therefore, god cannot be all-powerful, so god cannot exist.
If you answer no, then his power is limited (he can only create mountains of a smaller size). Therefore, god cannot be all-powerful, so god cannot exist.
Now, if you change your stance, and you say your god is not all-powerful, then all major religions (except perhaps Zen and Buddhism) fail because all of them claim that god is all-powerful. Therefore, you must change your religion.
I don't "bother" to be an atheist. I do not believe in god, which is something that doesn't bother me at all.

You can't prove that there is one....so I don't believe, no faith involved.
You can't prove that there is one and you believe, so it's you that requires the faith.

This isn't for me...I'm Agnostic, because I know there isn't proof for or against. No faith required here.

No faith at all. It is up to believers to prove it.

Ya know...the dems are looking for a few good spin doctors. Why bother to force your views on others? Will you feel better about it if i feel the same way you do?

you are wrong and your logic is a bit skewed.
Being an atheist requires one to use logic and understand that there is no sky-daddy. Being a christian requires a person to cover their logic and have blind faith. Very different!!
