The difference, of course, being that it wasn't a coincidence when some of items in your letter "magically" showed up at Christmas.

Maybe in some cases. When I was growing up in a Christian home I was told that Santa Claus was NOT real. My parents thought that if my brother and I believed the stories about Santa only to later find it was a lie that it might cause us to later question the things they told us about God.

Well, for one thing you will be getting a sock full of coal this year, I bet. Don't forget, "he's making a list and checking it twice, gonna find out whose naughty and nice." So you probably blew it already.

I will, of course, pray that you don't get the coal but it may not help you, at this point. And I will write a note to Santa on your behalf, but he might have already decided.

Praying is like talking to a real good friend. There are no rituals, signs, precautions, correct posture to do it. Not even Grammar applies. So, dont worry about a thing, HE knows what you want to say even before you said it. :)

To really appreciate the power of prayer, dont ask for anything for yourself, pray for others, and listen more.

Trust me it works.

No. The difference is that there probably is a God, but there definitely is not a Santa.

It is quite the same, only that Saint Nikolaus really existed (a Bishop in Constantinople).
Maybe not with toys, but if you believe you are sick, you are getting physically sick, so if you strongly believe, you will be healed, then the body sometimes manages to heal from this faith. It doesn't matter to whom you are 'praying'.

Prayers have been answered by people that have horrific diseases. People are being sprayed with Holy water in Africa and it's curing people from the deadly virus.
So you tell me. Santa has never been seen.

Prayers don't usually work for those that don't pray. Prayers are not for those concerned with immediate gratification. Answers come in God's time not yours .

Nah, Santa can't come into your heart, change your life and give you peace.

I see it the same as keeping a diary. You can tell the diary your hopes, dreams, frustrations, but it doesn't do a darn thing to help you.
