if the girl is friend,tell some jokes(best if the jokes are something /someone around the neighborhood,something hilarious in the past or present, i think,as long it not offending ) or tease her a bit to lighten her up.
if the girl is 'more' than friend,talk something about her positive self but make sure it is true and simple like 'you have great smile' or something.
usually when you truly understand the girl,words will just pop up in your head!
