You would be happier. That doesn't mean you are excluded from sadness and bad things happening to you but you'll be able to rejoice even in those times. You'll have a peace in your heart about all things. "God promised us a safe landing, not a smooth journey."

I love this question and as a Pastor my answer will offend many, but here goes. You will experience the high and lows of both. I grew up in church and naively was taught that if I became a Christian my life would be much better. Hey, nothing farther from the truth. The temptations and battles as a teenager didn't change. Maybe for me they were harder because I was trying to live up to what I felt was true.
The life of a Christian means that we will be Christ like. If one does a study on His life you find it wasn't pleasant. For 3 1/2 years He was the most popular guy on the face of the earth, the last 3 1/2 years He was an enemy of the State. He died for not only our sins but His belief's.
Anyone who tells you living the Christian Life is easy or will make you happier isn't telling you both sides of the story. However, the ultimate goal of the Christian life should be spend eternity in heaven. That will make you a happier person. In this life you will have trials and problems regardless of your religious belief's. Having a relationship with Jesus will give you someone to go to and trust in those times of troubles. I hope this helps.

Well it is scriptural that He has come to carry your burdens for you. You will be forgiven of your sins. Also There are many scriptures that talk about the JOY OF THE LORD! I am much happier because I am more at peace than I have ever been. I love God and turn my troubles over to Him. Therefore I am happier in my everyday life. However know this.........that does not mean that bad things will never happen to you. But I am MUCH HAPPIER!

No He did no longer. long existence benifits the sinner no longer the Godly. God we could us stay in basic terms long sufficient to get the max to take to heaven with us, or the least existence vs repenting of sin possibility. once you attain the element the place you will no longer repent in spite of all the oportunities given you, you would be saved by ability of a loving God and located interior the least painful area of hell. each and every persom is given sufficient soreness in hell to restrain them from making hell worse for others.

In the material world, in any form of life, there is some so-called happiness and so-called distress. No one invites distress in order to suffer, but still it comes. Similarly, even if we do not endeavor to obtain the advantages of material happiness, we shall obtain them automatically. This happiness and distress are obtainable in any form of life, without endeavor. Thus there is no need to waste time and energy fighting against distress or working very hard for happiness. But if you transcend this material happiness and distress then you will be completely happy.
In Bhagavad gita Krishna says:
"O best among men [Arjuna], the person who is not disturbed by happiness and distress and is steady in both is certainly eligible for liberation."
PURPORT
Anyone who is steady in his determination for the advanced stage of spiritual realization and can equally tolerate the onslaughts of distress and happiness is certainly a person eligible for liberation.
"A person who is not disturbed by the incessant flow of desires—that enter like rivers into the ocean, which is ever being filled but is always still—can alone achieve peace, and not the man who strives to satisfy such desires".
PURPORT
Although the vast ocean is always filled with water, it is always, especially during the rainy season, being filled with much more water. But the ocean remains the same—steady; it is not agitated, nor does it cross beyond the limit of its brink. That is also true of a person fixed in Krishna consciousness. As long as one has the material body, the demands of the body for sense gratification will continue. The devotee, however, is not disturbed by such desires, because of his fullness. A Krishna conscious man is not in need of anything, because the Lord fulfills all his material necessities. Therefore he is like the ocean—always full in himself. Desires may come to him like the waters of the rivers that flow into the ocean, but he is steady in his activities, and he is not even slightly disturbed by desires for sense gratification. That is the proof of a Krishna conscious man—one who has lost all inclinations for material sense gratification, although the desires are present. Because he remains satisfied in the transcendental loving service of the Lord, he can remain steady, like the ocean, and therefore enjoy full peace. Others, however, who want to fulfill desires even up to the limit of liberation, what to speak of material success, never attain peace. The fruitive workers, the salvationists, and also the yogis who are after mystic powers are all unhappy because of unfulfilled desires. But the person in Krishna consciousness is happy in the service of the Lord, and he has no desires to be fulfilled. In fact, he does not even desire liberation from the so-called material bondage. The devotees of Krishna have no material desires, and therefore they are in perfect peace.

You could never tell. If you believe whatever you find the most relieving to your heart, then that's what makes you happy. Even if that choice was not to believe, if that makes you happy, so be it.

I find that you can't rely on anything or anyone to make you a happy person. You need to find that within yourself. No religion, person, hobby, etc., will find you happiness. It's only within yourself that you'll reach that goal.
*big hugs to david* You're awesome :o)

You would probably be very sad.
Why?
Because you would be pointedly reminded that you are a sinner and that you must repent.. because God only loves those who repent.
Or at least only takes care of those who repent.
Sound happy?
