Why does it have to be God's doing? Why can't it be a natural phenomenon. I believe in it but everyone i talk to about it laughs and says I can't be both, but no one has a good answer why. Any thoughts?

To the people wondering why I believe in reincarnation - after thinking about it, it makes since to me. Everything in nature renews itself, everything has a cycle, so why would it be any different for our "souls" (or whatever you want to call it). Also I believe in ghosts from experience and I think they could be explained as "souls" in between lives.

Some people are just ignorant.
Ignore them.

There is no reason what-so-ever that a person who is an atheist can't or should not believe in reincarnation. You are exactly correct. Reincarnation is based upon the idea that "we" (something of us) moves from life to life as a natural phenomenon. Actually, many atheists groups do believe in reincarnation such as Pantheists. The clearest evidence for reincarnation is simply that we are here now, and if life were a one-shot deal, it would be very unlikely that we would be alive right now to even consider the issue. There is no reason why an atheist could not see the weight of this simple argument.

The is more proof for reincarnation than God. If your knowingness and evidence for the none existence of God make me an Atheist then so be it. I personally look at myself as a realist. If there was a God his existence would have been left all over the place as a being that acknowledges love. Trusting in a book in the possession of man does not cut it for me.
By the way if you talk with any person that has been audited to clear in Scientology has confirmation of the existence of multiple lives. This is a matter of fact. I have met many of them and they all say the same things. Of course I have a problem with it because I don't sit in the same place just like I could not understand how a rocket scientist make a man go to the moon.

Yes, many people are confused about the meaning of the word Atheist. It simply means the absences of belief in God or Gods. It dose not, in itself, infer a lack of belief in supernatural phenomena. The word for that would be skeptic.
You are an Atheist if you don't believe in a god. You are a skeptic if you require credible evidence for your beliefs. I hope that clears this up for you.
I was just wondering why you have chosen to believe in reincarnation.

Hey - you have all the right to believe what ever you want - no body can tell what's right and what's wrong because none of us have actually experienced anything that we believe in (well some - like Christians - say that they have experienced - but it is all in the mind - not reality) You definitly can be an atheist and believe in reincarnation - Buddhists do that.

specific, it is obtainable an atheist is additionally a reincarnationist. i think of it is not uncommon while the atheist looks at reincarnation as a medical theory incredibly of a non secular theory. The be conscious "soul" evokes pictures of church doctrines yet it is incredibly not unavoidably what a soul is. A soul would desire to be a element of the self (the expertise element) that exists on a non cloth airplane previous what all of us understand now. There are extreme scientists who can think of a actuality previous what all of us understand to be actuality at this element in time. technology continues to be in diapers while it is composed of understanding all there is yet to locate relating to the mysteries of existence.

I guess it depends on why you don't believe in god but do believe in re-incarnation.
Both rely on a belief in the supernatural so one isn't any more credible than the other. I'd be very interested in any scientific findings which support the idea of re-incarnation, but as far as I know there aren't any. Until there are, then re-incarnation is relegated to superstition in my opinion.

You are free to believe anything you do. Ignore the people that laugh at you, they are just being arrogant and stupid. Whatever you believe has just as much chance of being the truth as any other idea.

you can be an athiest and believe in reincarnation...cause neither is truth. there is no reincarnation...there is life eternal or seperation eternal...thats it....if one wants to believe the soul comes back to "try it again"...so be it...however it is not nor ever was truth. God created everything....and has established a promise of covenant between Himself and His creation. This promise is life eternal in the belief of Jesus...and to surrender your life to His....its not that complicated...it is indeed freedom as promised by your Creator...Seek truth....†
