Basically, being the chosen people is not an honor, it is a burden. But the Jews accept it.
The covenant is that the Jews will be blessed by God, if they follow all His rules and commandments. All of His rules. Sure ain't easy.
P.S. The seven Noahide Laws (see below) aren't from the Ten Commandments. But I like what the answerer said, basically.

This is easy...read your Bible...don't be confused, it doesn't say they were perfect, but chosen. A people, who for the most part have all the right stuff to be whom God created them to be but refused to believe in His way of doing. Don't feel left out, it doesn't say they were the only chosen as when they rejected the "Truth", (if you've been "born again") you were given the privilege of being grafted into the Kingdom of God and called a "son of God" which gives you the same rights and privileges, by faith, as they.
Nevertheless, because God doesn't change, they are still His chosen and are not without His forgiveness, grace, and mercy..He loves them just as much as He did in the beginning and the promise of His blessing is still to them.

This expression is often misunderstood. It sounds (to one not familiar with Jewish concepts) like a superiority. that's not what it means.
The Jews have a covenant with God. That means they have a "contract." The people agreed to live by Jewish law in exchange for God's blessing and protection.
In fact, there are seven "Noahide Laws." According to Jewish teaching, one can be a gentile and, if they follow the seven Noahide laws (taken from the Ten Commandments) they're cool with the God of Israel.

gesh you take the chosen thing too literal..we feel we are chosen because we chose the Torah. we do not feel we are any better then the rest of you..anyone can been seen just as righteous in the eyes of God if they live a good life even if you are a christian or a Muslim..so i hope that helps you understand your "chosen issues"

They are chosen in that means the Jesus was born as a Jew.However, Jesus did not ask to become Jews, He asked us to follow Him and His example. Get baptized and spread His word. : )
If you have a change to get saved by works and keeping the whole law...or if you are getting saved by mercy and grace of God...which one you would choose?

No problem, the good "other people" can convert and become part of the "chosen ones".
Please stand in line and dont push or shove.

Actually, they don't feel superior at all with being chosen. They just have to be a light unto the nations...

I do not think you understand why they are chosen....
to bring the word of God to the world...
to be the people who would bring the Messiah to the world.
they have done this.....
there has been only persecution for this...no real, material rewards.

Galations 3: 26-29
26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
