What has been the best answer that religious groups who don't belive in evolution given to explain dinosaur bones and other contraditictory evidence?

FAO Stevie B: I find it suprising that you say dinosaur bones have no relevence to evolutionary theory. Every animal, whether alive or extinct, has a place in the evolutionary theory. It doesn't just apply to mamals. Also (if you believe the evolution theory supporters) there is evolutionary lineage from the dinosaurs to many creatures around today. Birds, reptiles and so on.

Secondly, while some species of dinosaur may have been around at the time of man (I am not sure if this is the case but I will take peoples word for it) there is also evidence to show that many dinosaurs, as well as other animal life, existed 10s of millions of years before human beings walked the earth. The system used to date these fossils is called carbon dating and has been around for some time.

PS I am not trying to give arguments in support of the evolutionists. I just want to hear the arguments that could be used against the scientific evidence.

The actual arguement for me is ridiculous. The idea of evolution which is siences way of explaining the way the world was formed, actually closely resembles the explanation of the account of Genesis. Science eventually catches upto the Word of God, and the actual thought that a plant can think that it had best grow some seeds in order to reproduce itself is very sad. Evolution I believe is exists but with an intellect thought behind driving it. Dinosaurs existed fact. When: Im not sure and there will be lots of things in this life that Im not sure of, so whats that leave me? Faith!

Why are there fossils? Wouldn't it be normal to assume that if an animal dies it either decays or is picked clean by other scavengers? How do scientists explain that fossils happened to come into being?
For fossils to come into being there had to have been some major cataclysmic event that killed the animals instantly and layers were pressed on them to retain them as fossils.
Couldn't the worldwide flood at Noah's time be an explanation of how fossils came into being? And why do we find fossils all over the world and not only in just a very few locations?

Could it be that dinosaurs became extinct after the flood because of the climactic change that happened after the flood and they couldn't adapt to the change?

The only contradictory evidence is the dates given by science, if you are a new earth creationist. The Creationist believes the dinosaurs lived at the same time as man. And there is some scientific, historical, and archaeological evidence to support that.
The actual Scientific evidence for evolution is extremely thin. How do you suppose that you can test, repeat, or falsify something that supposedly happened 4-5 billion years ago?
No scientist has even a remote idea how life began (abiogenesis) or what started the Big Bang
Whale fossils just found are identical to today's whales, but are supposed to be over 4 million years ago. The Colinith was supposed to have gone extinct 25 million years old, but to science's amazement was discovered still swimming around Brazil. With no change from it's fossil brethren. Why no change in 25 million years? There is not one case of observable macro evolution ever recorded by science. Not one case of a genetic increase in knowledge through genetic mutation, but that is how they say evolution worked. It takes as much faith to belive in evolution as it does God.

Well, first and foremost, dinosaur bones have nothing to do with evolution or proof of evolution. Dinosaurs lived, dinosaurs died, died off. And as of right now there no single piece or multiple pieces of evidence that prove evolution actually happened. Everything is based on conclusions and suggestions.

Religion of one sort or another has been around for thousands of years. And it funny that as evolution scientists search for evidence of evolution, they turn up more and more evidence that proves the Bible correct.

Organized religion is more then faith based as many say it is, Jesus Christ was a real person. Organized religion says that certain things happened and happened more so less as our teaching say they did.

It actually takes more faith to believe in evolution then is does to believe in ones religion. And remember that many people, scientists and geologists base their claims on something they already believe that happened. So they don't do real research, their "research" is always pointed at trying to prove their theory not looking for any answers that may disprove it. Evolution depends on events and life simply just happening for no reason other then it did.

Religion believes that life is a miracle, and therefore a higher power caused all things to be. God.

"If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?"

I give Mark G the award for funniest answer of the day. That is either the funniest joke in a while, or evidence that we might as well give up on teaching certain people anything. If he actually believes the lies he wrote, then whatever school he went to out to be shut down. It can't even be salvaged.

The alleged dinosaur bones could not exactly determined whether those bones are extinct reptile,an instinct chiefly terrestrial reptile that lived in the Mesozoic Era, which is the largest known land animal or the bones of outmoded person or thing, somebody or something that is hopelessly out of date or incapable of adapting to change.

Organized religion are different religions who were organized by group of men called Christians or Muslim or Hindu as the case maybe.but varies in belief in God,belief in the teachings of God.

How can you say that it is evolution when that something is incapable of adapting to change?

Most creationists don't discount the fossils of dinosaurs..in fact in the book of Job the bible talks of an animal called a "Behemoth" that is believed to be a dinosaur. It's creationists theory that dinsaurs lived with humans until the flood or shorltly after the flood.

God can use any means he wants to create. When it says "God made man," ect, it doesn't give a DNA map telling in detail how he did it. The important parts (if you believe in scripture) are there.

If every little detail was contained in the Bible, the book would be too big for any human being to lift, let alone read.

The arguement about evolution vs. creation is another one of those fights over words. One doesn not preclude the other.

I think the funniest one is the old "fossils were put there as a test of faith".

It cracks me up that they can say it with a straight face. The first time I heard it was years ago from a good friend who was a born again. He even tried to prove it by waving his "Christian Science" magazine at me.

It's also pretty scary that people can believe that.

If they believe that, can you imagine how easily manipulated they would be by a populist dictator running on a platform of religious intolerance?

I believe God created the dinosaurs right along with Adam and Eve because they are in the Book of Job. I believe they were destroyed except for a few in the flood of Noah.
