I like both, they have similar products. So, it depends on the price and personal experiences.
I prefer BA, simply because of the Oneworld alliance and the milleages.
British Airways World Traveler:
Personal TV (on most airplanes), 12 channels of CD quality audio.
Enjoy tasty three course meals designed by leading chefs, as well as a complimentary bar service which is available throughout your flight.

Virgin Atlantic Economy Class:
Every seat has its own seatback TV with a choice of channels to keep everyone entertained throughout the flight.
And, rolling out across the fleet, is the very latest video on-demand, which means you can pause, fast forward or rewind, just like at home.
Fly with us in Economy and the little surprises start when you get to your seat and check out the free amenity kit. Out of the UK, it’s a trendy little backpack with everything you could want on your flight, including: Eyeshades, Earplugs, Socks,
Toothbrush and Toothpaste.

I think it woulde depend on how far you were going. I flew Virgin Atlantic from New York to London and loved it. They have great inflight entertainment, was pretty comfortable for a plane, and the food was just your run of the mill plane food. I flew BA from London to Iceland, and I don't think I would fly BA again. I had a real hassle trying to contact them in the first place, as I had to cancel 2 of the tickets, and they also gave me incorrect information twice, and then when I got the refund, it was different again. The inflight food wasn't that wonderful, and there was nothing to do for the 3 hour flight. Comfort wise, it was okay. I guess I would say Virgin, just cos they didn't piss me off.

Virgin Atlantic is generally ranked the No.1 carrier in the world by most Travel and Business magazines. Singapore Airlines is ranked the best in the Pacific. Things included are comfort such as leg room , width and pitch of the seats and of course the food and service. If money is no problem, go for it.

I in no way fly Virgin the international over more advantageous as they look to have the smallest seats and no leg room. i'm 5'7" and extremely last time I flew from London to lengthy island on Virgin my knees were touching the decrease back of the seat in the front of me. they're the most uncomfortable airline I genuinely have ever flown lengthy haul, and that i fly a million-2 circumstances a month on company
