So let say, one day there's this pagan and a guy named Bob.

They sit together, suddenly, Bob said

"You Pagans are violent."

The Pagan just stood silent, because his religion teaches him to be patient, promote love and be peaceful.

Then Bob just continued saying

"You Pagans are violent"

"You Pagans are violent"

"You Pagans are violent"

~Three Months Later~

"You Pagans are vio-SMACK

One tight slap from the Pagan, he had enough.

"AHA!" Bob said, "I KNEW YOU GUYS WERE VIOLENT! YOU JUST PROVEN IT!"

So, who was right and who was wrong?

They were both wrong. The pagan was wrong not to give a more reasoned response, and to eventually give in to his urge to smack Bob. Well, maybe not even that. I doubt I would have waited three months, myself.

Bob, of course, was asking for exactly what he got. So what he really meant was "See, I just proved it."

No, it proves nothing, if that was your point.

Give us facts. The pagan must have been a newly converted Christian given the fact that he was exercising patience promoting love and peace. Bob must have been an atheist trying to provoke him. Clearly Bob was wrong and he reaped what he sowed.

I'd say the Pagen would be wrong for being violent against his religion. Bob is wrong for provoking, but since Bob doesn't have a religion, he's just a jerk, but if the Pagen is true to his religion, he would forever allow Bob to say he's violent. Otherwise they're both wrong, and 2 wrongs do not equal one right. imo

One would wonder why the pagan just didn't walk away and snipe him from afar with a slingshot.
