I work with a girl, we've been talking for about 2 weeks and I finally get the nerve to ask her out yesterday. She said its complicated, but she has been seeing someone for about a year. He live's far away. I asked her too a movie yesterday and she changed the subject and told me that a friend of her's was playing in a metal band and had a gig this month... she was going to ask me to go anyway. So i Happily agreed to go with her. TONIGHT however there is a Type O Negitive show, I am friends with the band and could get her on the guest list with me.... i want to ask her to go.... I would buy her whatever she wanted to drink all night... it would be no problem, I'm just wondering if any of you girls were in a situation like this, would you go? Nothing more than 2 friends going to a show with my Tattoo artist and his wife....

If it's tonight, you haven't got much time to think about it, the longer you wait the better the chances she will say no (and she can blame it on being too short of notice!) If you feel like you get along well and want her to come to the concert, go for it! When you enjoy someone's company, they usually enjoy spending time with you too. It is possible that she just wants to be friends and stay with her long-distance guy, but you never know until you try! Good luck

I probably would not be in the situation to begin with since I've never had a long distance relationship with anybody - but if you made a committment, then it is still considered cheating and she might be afraid that you want her "more" than just a friend. Just try to reitterate that you just want someone to keep you company since your friend and his wife is going to be there and let her know that you are not wanting anything else from her. You could always try the sad face with your lip poked out. That works too sometimes. LoL!

No, from what it is you've said here, it seems your interest was already set out, and to be truthful you sound desperate, and that could be a real discouragement, especially seeing how she's already involved with some1 else. I would know that it would be an uncomfortable situation and would have to pass

yes, ask her matter of fact. if she says something about her bf, then say , well, call him and ask if he would be OK with it. then add. you are in no way wanting to make her feel uncomfortable and you are not asking for a date, you know she would enjoy it , so its just a question and an option. its just a show, suggest she meet you there, hand her a ticket and tell her your see her later. if she Say's no, then say OK, its cool, and if your bf is in town and they are playing and I can get tickets, I ll get him one.
Because you know she would really enjoy this.

Who cares what some girl thinks who isn't the actual girl you want? Grow a pair and ask the girl again or forget about it...

Yea, sure except for the fact that I don't really like Type O Negative and would probably say some really nasty shite to you about them and their excuse for music, but if I really liked you, I might go anyways just for the hell of it and keep most of my comments to myself.

if its just as firends than go for it, but dont push it. it sounds like shes in a serious relationship. dont ruin that for her. and if she doesnt want u to pay for her drinks than leave it and let her pay, she might not want to feel like she owns u something.
good luck

Yeah, just ask her if she wants to hang out at this show you're going to, it isn't a date, no pressure.
