Traditional Inuit (Greenlandic) religion is shamanistic. They had (have) a complete system of beliefs with accompanying legends, stories, and traditions. The religion was strongly influenced by strict codes of conduct or rituals, that were considered essential to follow so as not to be struck by bad luck of various kinds.
You can read a bit about the old religion on wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inuit
In the 18th century, missionary activity started among the Inuit, and today almost all Greenlanders are Christian (Evangelical Lutherans) just like Danes (Greenland is a self-governed Danish territory).

Most greenlanders are Christian, they converted from the pagan religion of the original Norse settlers when the Norwegian kings (who ruled Greenland too) converted to Christianity in the middle ages. However, at the time many Inuit people who co-habited retained their religion. Nowadays most Greenlanders are Evangelical Lutherans.
