The time I spent living in a Mormon community left me with the impression that I was a black man in the South during the 50's and 60's. They are the most prejudiced assholes any worthless brainwashing religion can make.

Julius, unfortunately, there is a lot of racism in Utah, and I've had native Utahns admit this. However, if you want to know if THE CHURCH is racist, then ask all the minoritys in our church to tell you.

Back in the 19th and early 20th centuries, when most churches would segregate the races, IF they were permitted to join at all, but the LDS church was one of the very few that did not segregate their members, and blacks, Asians, native American Indians, etc., worshipped shoulder to shoulderrr with their caucasian brothers and sisters.

I think they're really entertaining when they come door knocking.

I like to challenge them to give evidence for God's existence using logic and not refering to the bible.

They usually smile at first thinking that they're in, but within a few minutes the frustration sets in and the bible quotes start coming.

I'll keep going as long as they want if I'm not busy. Usually after an hour or so they've had enough and beat a hasty retreat.

The biggest problem is my wife and I arguing over whose turn it is to have a bit of fun with them.

Outside of Utah, Mormons are less hypocritical than any other religious group I have encountered

I usually dont until one knocks at my door or someone asks about them on yahoo questions. All the info and experience ive had with mormons has been kinda funny. My wife was a mormon and she told me they "flirt to convert". She siad thats why she left. Then we got a knock on the door a couple years later from two mormon girls who were very giggly and touchy-feely with me and offered theyre phone numbers for me to go to church with them. I was convinced, but im no bigot either. I know thatthe few dont speak for or control the many. I just dont have enough info...

I think like any other religion...they have the right to chose for themselves how they want to live and whatever form of religion they choose to live by.It's not for me but if it works for them who are we to judge, right.
