her face changed shape,had a ct scan after 3 hours of seeing the symptom showed a block ,doctor told it is a minor stroke.hospitalised for the last 5 days.she could lift her left arms and legs but lack effective control.could not walk her own. right side is OK. memory is OK .5 days treatment brought only very little improvement.she is 70 years old.please tell what is to be done to get back her to normal

You will be amazed how the brain adapts after a mild stroke. If the left side of her body was affected, it means the stroke occured in the right side of her brain. Different parts of the brain will start to take over for the damaged parts. From the symptoms you described, the stroke was minor and I'll bet your mother has a full ( or near full ) recovery. It may take 6 months to a year. Don't give up hope.

my grandmother just had a minor stroak.
her whole left side is messed up.
she cant even see out of it.

the hosp. is the best place for your mother right now.

she is in the best hands =]

one word "rehab"... thats the only way to regain the motor skills that she had lost...but it takes a lot of time, patience and work to regain 100% of these functions
