We aren't heard. That's the problem. We're ignored. I speak out against terrorism everyday, and while in Pakistan I did it there too. People agreed with me. Nobody came after me. And the elders, oh God, they really loved to be around me. My mother in law's sister stayed with us the entire time we were there because she wanted to be around me. It was sweet. We do condemn terrorism all the time. Most of you here know it, too. Here is just one link of many with lists of fatwas and such condemning it. I hope it opens up your mind and takes some of your hatred away. May God bless you and lead you to righteousness (not religion, daily actions and behavior towards others).http://www.muhajabah.com/otherscondemn.php

I know exactly how you feel, sister. I also try to speak out against terrorism as well as much as I can, but people seem not to want to hear it. Many people have it already set it their minds that we Muslims are all bad people who mainly consist of terrorists. I wish people could understand that Allah (swt) wants peace from us, and it is said in the Holy Book that no violence should be among us people on earth. We are peaceful people, and Allah (swt) will hopefully deal with those terrorists who committed violence.

InshaAllah you, me, and many other Muslims will continue to condemn the terrorism that has unfortunately been spread, and may Allah (swt) guide us to a path that is right and straight. Thank you for your great comments, and hopefully it will open up people's minds.

Allah (God) knows best.

Sure, some do. And other yet would, except that they have their heads so far up their asses about Israel that they could never stop to think about what they're doing to their own countries.

Look at the Lebanese - they elected a bunch of jackass Islamists, not because they actually believe in such stringent laws or stricture, but rather because they are against Israel, and would rather side with someone with the same agenda, regardless of what's really going on.

I commend you!

My good friend that is Muslim condemns terrorism also.

Still, the fact remains that 99% of the terrorism stems from Islamic fundamentalism.

The fact remains that the sayings of Muhammed are 180 degrees diametrically opposed to the sayings of Jesus.

Jesus never robbed caravans and murdered people for a living like Muhammed.

Even at 33 years old when Jesus died, He never had sexual intercourse with a 9 year old "Child".

Who is a better role model, Jesus, who went around doing "Good" to people and defeating the works of satan, or Muhammed who murdered people that didn't agree with him?

Duh!!

This is not meant to be a hateful answer but an honest illumination of reality.

Peace unto you.

Reporters like to report the juiciest story they can find it is not a very juicy story to simply report support by Muslim's for peace.

Conclusion it doesn't have shock value

Bravo sister..., I really love what you are doing. We are trying very hard to get noticed by all these Islam-haters.
We just need to speak as often as we could. Though you did not see me asking many questions here in Y/A, I did try answering as many questions I could.
In my country I did verbally too...combating many criticism and debating many questions. And usually I give all my contenders a check mate...haha!

Never give up....!

Muslimah - Assalamu Alaikum sis! I agree with you. But I beg to differ with you on one point. I can't speak for you but I can speak from the knowledge I have. I've known people that have gone to jail with no just cause just for being Muslim. It's freaky. Thank Gd for CAIR these days.
Of course we condemn terrorism. And the only people who don't hear us are those are deaf, dumb, and blind. Keep up the good fight, sis. :)

There need to be more Muslims like you. The sad fact is that many moderate Muslims do not speak up against the those who promote hate and violence.

We should have more media outlets. Maybe then the world would see that we speak out.
