Mark 13:2-8.
Jesus predicts that the stones of the buildings of Jerusalem will be thrown down. Then the disciples ask when this will occur. This is when Jesus talks about "wars and rumors of wars" among other signs.
Since the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem occurred in the year 70, doesn't all this refer to that time? In other words, this passage has already been fulfilled. So is it not incorrect to wait today for signs of "wars and rumors of wars" etc as signs of the end?
