I have a fuji finepix A202. I lost the drivers for it so just downloaded the usb driver and the relevant finepix viewer.

When I am connecting the usb cable nothing is happening and I get an icon on the toobar saying Mass Storage Connectioin but then says error and wont work. I checked the things I downloaded and they are the correct ones.

Is there something else or another way of saving my pictures?

Thanks

It's always tricky to connect digital cameras directly to a pc. I would recommend you getting a card reader that can read the memory card in your camera (I check the manual, it's there). With the card reader, your laptop will read the memory chip as any other drive on the machine. Hope this works for you.

If you have Windows XP - when you connect your camera to your PC via USB use the wizard which should flag up automatically if you have successful connection/recognition. If not, double click "my computer" and your camera may show up as an additional removable drive.

However, if all else fails, a multicard reader (you can pick them up cheaply on Ebay or similar) which connects via USB to your computer - make sure it accepts Xd cards as they are the generic memory cards Fuji cameras use. Then you will be able to access your images much in the same way as described above - it will be recognised as 'other removable drives' on your PC.

you might have the wrong driver, it seems that you are using your camera sd drive as a storage item. uninstall the drive and star from the beggining. you probably need a side program to access your camera. since your computer is reading the camera as a storage device.
another way of saving your picture is just take out your camaras memory card and open it with your computer is really easy. you migh need an adaptor they are cheap.

Check that the camera is set to USB/mass storage mode. If it is set for connection to a printer the computer won't connect.

Another way is to use a card reader. Fuji Finefix cams use XD memory card to store images. Get a card reader that can read XD cards.
