hehe, that reminds me of when I was 18 and working at McDonald's. i had converted a couple of months after starting work there and was wearing my hijab. This guy came through the drive-thru and thought that the customer is always right included religion. I kept quiet, but he went on preaching and then handed me one of those frigging little book thingys. I tossed it to the garbage to show him what I thought of it, and he demanded the manager. My manager came and listened to what had happened, then told the guy off, lmao. He said "What? Do you think you can come through and expect to force people to convert? She's right, you have no place starting arguments with her over religion. She's doing her job. I saw the whole thing. I hope you don't do this everyplace you go." My manager was a white male, into drinking beer and partying. But, he was also open minded and knew who I was, the hijab didn't matter to him. So, I do agree with you. People should be able to work without being harassed about religion.

You call that "herasment"?
I don't want anyone converting me, I'll admit. But I would not tolerate a society that restricts the freedom to express one's opinions or ideas, even at work. It's a slippery slope - how do you enforce something like that? Do you have language police standing over your shoulder watching every word? What if you take away a man's right to talk about his own faith. How do you think that will affect your right to say what you want?
Of al the rights granted to human beings, the right to not be offended certainly isn't on the list. In a free society people are allowed to do whatever they want, as long as they don't take away someone else's rights.

That is totally not allowed in the country I stays. Anyone found to have done that will be terminated form his work. Religion is practised outside working hour and on personal time. But out of respect Muslimahs are allowed to wear hijab.
Some companies do not even allow one to discuss about religions an politics at work as this is to avoid unpleasant encounter.

Since when is the free exchange of ideas "harassment" do they blare their doctrine at you over loudspeakers? Are you required to attend meetings with these chaplains? I am always amazed at the extreme reaction these various groups have at being exposed to Christianity, as though their own belief system is so desperately weak that any exposure to Christianity will destroy it.
