Do you mean like royalty? No, I don't think they are any better than commoners.
I think we all have basic human rights, so no one is more deserving of food or shelter or to be treated with respect than another based on some innate worthiness.
As we grow older, some distinctions come about. Some become kinder, wiser, and more loving. Others become mean and ignorant and more selfish. I think the first group defines a better person than the second.
Some people are better looking, better smelling, better sounding than others, better at certain activities, obviously. We should never base a person's worth on these things.

Yes, some people are.
Roger Federer is certainly better than I am at tennis. If that doesn't make him better than me overall, it must be because I'm better at something else than he is, right? But if that "something else" doesn't make me better than him, it must be because the two exactly cancel each other out, or more generally that we all have strengths and weaknesses, and our individual strengths and weaknesses all add up to exactly the same overall quality.
Now, we're all apparently supposed to believe that's the case, but it's obviously utter nonsense. Why would those strengths and weaknesses add up to _exactly_ the same thing in each case? That's just wishful thinking - a refusal to accept the fact that some people simply ARE better than others.

Some people ARE better off than others... in this lifetime...
The Spiritually intelligent people who have Created Their Relationships are better off than the ignorant morons who are in religions.......................
It's as simple as that !
Here's how you can be better off:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any other being with Spiritual intelligence.
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

We are all equal with respect to human rights (such as those defined in the U.S. Bill of Rights). But we are not equal in talent, strength, intelligence, economics, social status, etc. But the word "better" is entirely subjective. Michael Jordan is better than me at basketball. Steven hawking is better than Jordan at physics. Bill Gates is better than Hawking financially.

Theoretically speaking, no one is better than anyone else. We are all equals. Realisticaly speaking, we are all better than someone else. I am a better person than Hitler was. However, Mother Teresa was a better person than me.
If you accept that you are better than someone, then you have to accept that someone is better than you. Nobody is perfect.

My initial response is no.
But you would need to define 'better'.
And work out who the Judge is.

better is a subjective term, so it would be impossible for something to be universally better than something else

We are all the same, all born with transgressions, all with imperfections. It's what we do with our experiences that matters.
