Where did you pick that word political assassination? The meaning of political assassination is the destruction of party politics of the the government. or the destruction of the governmental functions through politics.

It has no relation with the crucifixion of Jesus or the nailing of Jesus to the cross which caused his death.
Have you read in the bible that the crucifixion of Jesus involves political assassination?

wake up I believe you are becoming sleepy in asking question.

What is a "political assasination"? According to Scripture, certain members of the Sanhedrin reasoned that if Jesus was the Messiah, then no harm would come to him. But if he were not the Messiah, then he could incite a devestating revolt against Rome. They decided to hand him over to Pilate and let God sort it out. If that is a political assasination, then yes.

Definitely, because Pilate and the Pharasses saw Jesus as a threat to the political establishment and social order of the day.

This may have been the way Romans saw it.
The Jewish goverment may have also been concerned about the power Jesus may acquire if left to continue working.

He stated that you do not need a Temple/Church/Middleman etc... to communicate with GOD (Quite right too!)

If he was alive today and said that, the Christians would probably crucify him as the Antichrist, as their churches would become empty & lose revenue (MONEY = The GOD of Religion)

I personally think it was both political and religious. Political because Jesus said he was the king of the Jews. And religious because he challenged the credibility and temple leadership of the Scribes and Pharisees.

Peace and every blessing!

No! It was all in God's plan so that we can be forgiven for our sins. If He (Jesus) did come down from the cross as the people told him to we would still be going to hell as God's forgiveness of us would not have been complete and Christ would have failed in being our substitute before God.

Oh yes. It was. More of a politically motivated execution than an assassination but you are fairly spot on.

No, it was not a political assassination. Jesus came for the very purpose to die. He came to pay the death penalty for our sins. This is what He said before He died:
John 10:18 "No one takes it (my life) from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."
After Jesus' resurrection, His disciples said this about him:
"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him." Acts 2:22-24
