It is not molesting! It is about respect for God: a woman is supposed to be (I am a female christian) honoring God. I think it's to show that she knows of her sin (women who commited adultery were usually shaved and then stoned to death) and is humble and modest. I don't cover my head when I go to church or pray, because I feel that my culture is different from that of the Corinthians 2000 years ago. I also wear pants etc.
Take it as you like, just an oppinion.

The Bible doesn't say that at all! It says that if a woman prays out-loud in the presence of men without a head covering of some kind, it is as shameful as though she were shaved. Get a real Bible or learn English or get help to understand the sense of the words you are reading. You I regret to have to say, don't know what you are talking about.

Most Christians these days will quote one passage from the bible and ignore others....alot of it has to do with the belief that the New Testament makes the old testament obsolete. blah blah blah....personally i don't care.... look to those who claim to believe the same as you do....the Koran does not say that a woman should cover herself completely as many women are forced to do in predominantly Muslim nations, but the religion is used as an excuse for this and the second class status of women in these same nations....religion in all forms whether it be Christian, Muslim ,Jew, whatever, is total nonsense....religion is a man made concept and the separation of religions is based solely on the need to control people, a political desire .....look at the history of the Christian church....how many wars of "faith" did it start....how many times were churches segregated based on financial status, how many times did the church hand down edicts on what was and wasn't moral behavior when the book itself states that its perfectly acceptable to sell ones daughters into sexual slavery? In this instance the Islamic faith as we know it today is no different, not because you start wars based on faith (Islamic leaders do on occasion use the faith as basis for wars) but becasue it is absolutely impossible to follow every single little rule in the Koran, Christians are no better. Any one who isnt a hermit in a cave flaying there own skin from their body on a daily basis has no right to tell another person that their beliefs are wrong and that their own way of belief is better. Anyone who claims piety is full of it and needs to shut their mouth. As for your question Im not too sure that their are many Christians out there that actually go along with that one.....its too compicated.....yelling at homosexuals and decrying abortion is much easier......women are given a whole ton of freedoms (not as many as they should mind you) but its a good start. And besides, in predominantly Christian nations its actually against the law to drag a woman form a car and beat her to death simply because she was driving.....oh yeah and they're allowed medical care and educations in some places too. Unlike certain "Pious" Muslim nations that frown upon women being anything other than slaves. Its not the religion that causes this....its political mesegiony and ******* hiding behind the faith.

Again, you take one portion and try to make it look the Bible is evil and against women. The point of what your reading has to do with the culture of the time and the people involved in the church. If you bothered to read the whole thing you'd understand the point that men and women are intertwined in their relationships. The only reason for the head covering is to show the women understands her role as advisor and support rather than head. The directive to cut her hair is just to emphasize the covering God has given her

and that i discover extra bitter than death the female, whose coronary heart is snares and nets, and her palms as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; however the sinner would be taken via her. What do you mean via this? For if the female be not lined, permit her additionally be shorn: yet while or not it truly is a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, permit her be lined. What do you mean via this?
