I would say he was demon-possessed. Here is a quote from the link below:
"After four years in Vienna, Hitler left and went to Munich. There he got involved with others who were dedicated to the pursuit of occult powers. That brings me to a little known fact. The original members of the Nazis (National Socialist Party) were hard-core satanists. It was the Nazis who led a willing Hitler into deeper levels of occult involvement. In fact, Dietrich Eckart, an occultist of the highest degree, and a practitioner of black magic, bragged before he died, "I have initiated him (Hitler) into the 'Secret Doctrine,' opened his centers in vision and given him the means of communication with the Powers...I shall have influenced history more than any other German." (Ravenscroft, p.91)."
Denfinitely Hitler was not a Christian, even if he was baptized as a baby. Jesus said that we can recognize people by their fruit, of what's really in them: "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." Matthew 7:15-20

Hitler was a theist, he was clear on that point. But he renounced Christianity with a venom that is seldom seen in any historical figure, calling it the product of sick brains, and the greatest scourge since plague. However, he followed prominant atheists (like Marx and Neitzsche) in praising Jesus of Nazareth as a socialist revolutionary, and used that angle in an attempt to win sympathy for his cause.

He was a fascist Nazi. A megalomaniac. It does not follow that just because he was a Catholic you should also condemn the Catholic Church and Catholics for his crimes. Did he commit those crimes in the name of Catholicism? Was he a practicing Csatholic?
For the same reason, we should not condemn atheism for the crimes of Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh and Pol Pot because they were atheists.
Peace and every blessing!

""[Making peace with the church] won't stop me from stamping out Christianity in Germany, root and branch. One is either a Christian or a German. You can't be both." ~ Adolf Hitler
