These people live above me and they are sooooooooo loud they stomp and run around like animals! This bugs me because they do it at six in the morning on weekends! I do not want to go talk to them so what else can I do. I am going to lose my mind if I hear another "BOOM" above my head again! It is these little kids! Help!!!

We used to have neighbours like that and they were really horrible selfish people. We tried to get to know them & discovered they were even worse than we first thought. In the end every noise they made got me really angry & I had to move before I went mad.

Some things that did help though were: changing my own patterns slightly to maximise noise evasion, silicon ear plugs (they worked awesomely!), making noise of my own when THEY were quiet (very satisfying), and going out more.

If I were you I would ask for another apartment if that is possible or move somewhere else altogether because this will really eat you up & make you bitter, if you're anything like me.

I doubt there is much you can do about it, though I certainly understand how you feel. Kids will be kids and they are going to run, play and stomp. Plus, what sounds normal to them is going to sound loud to you, especially at 6 AM. Reporting them to your landlord might make them angry and cause them to be louder.

I suggest earplugs when you are sleeping and keeping the radio or TV on when you are not. If at all possible, start looking for a new, top floor apartment. Until then, befriend them. If the opportunity arises, get an adult from their apartment inside your apartment when the kids are being playing. When they hear the noise, let them know that it can get much louder.

Or, say and do anything that will make them feel empathy for you. Tell them you have insomnia and can only sleep during the day. If you can get them to feel sorry for you they might try to be quiet.

If none of that works, go ahead and start reporting them to the landlord as a last resort. If you take this route, be prepared to be persistent. The landlord needs to know how much this is affecting your life. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. He/she will be more likely to take action if you call frequently.

There's not much that can be more annoying than having to listen to your neighbors upstairs as they move about within their apartment...
(and we must note here that "their floor is your ceiling")

You happen to live in a complex that was not built with privacy in mind...there is no space between their floor and your ceiling to buffer the noise. What you're hearing is especially loud because kids do jump and run around and unfortunately, you are going to be the recipient of the noise.

There's not a whole lot you're going to be able to do about it except to move. You might talk to your upstairs neighbors and they might be able to lessen the noise but, they will never be able to silence the noise completely...people upstairs, whether it's the neighbors you have now or different ones, are going to be heard by anyone living downstairs....that's just the way your apartment building was constructed.

They can not read your mind so they will not be aware that the noise they make upstairs will be causing you any problem.
If it was bothering me then I would go and talk to them, actually I would probably just put some music on, just remember that if it is little kiddies, I would rather hear their stomping than their mother yelling at them to be quiet.

All you can do is go to the apartment managers and tell them it is getting unbearable. Also maybe they have a quieter apartment on a top floor? Complain to the manager every time they annoy you and they'll get sick of you complaining and do something. All my best

If you don't talk to them it is not going to stop. If there is a landlord or someone in charge you can ask them to have a word also.

Get to know them and chat with them about the problem .But do it in that sequence.

If you abruptly start complaining you will hit a wall

You could try talking to the landlord to see if that helps.
