38.1 is a fever. It is high - it is not dangerously high but it is certainly in the 'feel really awful' area. Does he have any other symptoms that would indicate an infection? the flu? sore throat?
He needs to take regular paracetamol to keep his fever in check - every 4 hours is fine for a few days. Also could take ibuprofen if he doesnt have any stomach or bleeding disorders. Perhaps some tepid sponge baths woudl help. Drink lots and lots of fluids like water, avoid alcohol and caffeine. Eat whatever he feels like.
He really needs to go see a doctor to work out the cause of his fever if it doesn't pass soon.

The normal body temp is 98.6 f, which would be 37c. His temp is not actually in the danger zone then, but if he has any other symptoms (such as nausea, vomiting, pain, ect.) if would be a good idea to call or see a doctor. Hope everything's ok!

Take some parecetamol to reduce fever and go to hospital, he may have virus, doesn't sound like its getting better, have luke warm shower and try to get temp .down, must see medical proffesional, may need further medication also could have picked up some nasty bug, please take him down to hospital.

Too high. Normal would be 36,6 C.
IMO get him to see a doctor. RIGHT NOW.
