John 10-28-30 (Two gods)
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one. (Jesus + god= 2 gods)

John 17:21-22-23 (Fourteen gods)
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. (God + Jesus + 12 disciples=14 gods)
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

In Genesis God says let us create man in our image. God did form man form the dust and this was his flesh and he breathed into him a spirit and the two became a living soul. Man is body and spirit and these are one soul. In your calculations that must surely make each of us three separate individuals. We are the image of God and he is Father, Son and Holy Spirit and together these are ONE God as you are one man. Jesus did say he and the Father are ONE. He also did say allow the deciples to be one as he and the Father are one...This does not calculate to more Gods but does show your need of understanding as to the meaning of scripture.

Contrary to the previous answerers answer John 1 shows that Christ is definitely a part of the whole of God. the word was God not the word was a God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are ONE God. it was taught fromt he first scripture handed down to man (the books of Moses) Through the book of Isaiah where the Messiah would atone for sin. The Bible is in total agreement with the deity of Jesus Christ and our need for him as Savior. This is throughout the Bible and throughout God's word from Genesis through Revelation where Christ says I am the Alpha and the Omega.
For you and all of the other Muslims the words of Jesus are clear there is an oportunity for many to be the sons of God but there is but one only begotten Son of God.

In what sense is Jesus and the Father are one?

“I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me; he did not abandon me to myself, because I always do the things pleasing to him.” (John 8:28, 29)

God and Jesus are one in purposes and decisions. They are united in what they do. But it does not show that Jesus is the same as God nor that Jesus is equal to God.

John 17:3, Jesus makes a clear distinction between himself and his heavenly Father. He calls his Father “the only true God.” And toward the end of his Gospel, John sums up matters by saying: “These have been written down that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God.” (John 20:31) Notice that Jesus is called, not God, but the Son of God. This additional information provided in the Gospel of John shows how John 1:1 should be understood. Jesus, the Word, is “a god” in the sense that he has a high position but is not the same as Almighty God.

John 17 is Jesus' prayer with his disciples not for them to be gods but for them to be united in whatever they do, in harmony with God.

In both cases, when Jesus says that they are one, he means that they are in agreement, united in purpose. Just as we say a husband and wife are one. He wasn't implying that they were the same person. There is only one God. Jesus is His Son.
