Why is it that the catholic church doesn't allow priests to marry a woman, if christianity is pro-marriage between man and woman, shouldn't a priest be allowed to marry to help set an example?
I remember seeing one time on the news how the catholic church discovered that three priests had secretly married women. So first they had them lie on the ground as a form of humiliation, then they kicked them out of the church.
But whenever a priest molests a little boy, all the church does is move the priest to another church, keep quiet about and then the process repeats again and again. Why not kick the priest out of the church and send him to jail where he should be?
The church will protect a child molester, but they'll kick out a man for getting married. I just can't understand the reasoning behind all that.

I know it's not ok to molest a child, but when the catholic church protects a priest who molested one, it seems that they don't have a problem with it.

I so agree with you. Even though they take a vow of celibacy, it is not natural for man to deny his sexual needs. A true priest would resign his position if and when he realized that he could be capable of harming a child. Good question!

Runner 1 Catholics are Christians we were the first Christians
The Catholic Church has done things about the Priests, they are handing them over to the Police, and just because they are not married doesn't make them child molesters, married people also molest children, not all but more than Priests

It is sad that the church would do something like that but I know that in the bible it states that it is good for a man not to marry but it also states that since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. 1Cor 7:1-3. Also that catholic church is not the only church to have paedophiles for preachers. But be rest assured that the priest who would commit such an act will be judged and that is far worse than anything that could happen on earth. GOD BLESS

I'm not a catholic and I don't know about moving the molesting priest to different churches but I can answer one of your questions. Priests can't get married because they are supposed to dedicate all their love and time to God. If they get married then they are now splitting their love and time between God and their wife. Hope that helped a little :)

It is not true that the Church is protecting priests involved in sex scandals. Don't you read the news? A Bishop has been sacked among other things.
Anti-Catholics suffer from the mistaken notion that the Church includes only saints. For them sinners should always be outside its doors. What must be grasped is that the Catholic Church or any Church for that matter contains within itself knaves, and some of them obtain positions of responsibility. Paul and Christ himself warned us that there would be a few ravenous wolves among Church leaders (Acts 20,29; Matthew 1,15).
Jesus didn't choose Judas to betray him. But Judas was always free, and he used his freedom to allow Satan to enter into him, and by his betrayal Jesus was crucified and executed. But God foresaw this evil and used it to accomplish the ultimate good: the redemption of the world.
The point is, sometimes God's chosen ones betray him. That is a fact that we have to confront. If the early Christians had focused only on the scandal caused by Judas, the Church would have been finished before it even started to grow. Instead they recognized that you don't judge a movement by those who don't live it but by those who do. Rather than focusing on the betrayer, they focused on the other eleven on account of whose work, preaching, miracles, and love for Christ we are here today. It is on account of the other eleven that Christianity is alive and well today!
For the same reason, it is on account of the good popes, priests and lay people that the Catholic Church is what it is today. Christ has indeed kept his promise to be with his Church till the end of the age.
May the Lord's peace be with you!

Catholic faith contradicts the Bible:
In 1079 AD celibacy was first enforced for priests and bishops by Pope Gregory VII. Before this time, they were permitted to marry.
Question: Does the Bible teach that a bishop (overseer) must be married AND ALSO have children as one of the conditions of being qualified to be a bishop?
Answer: 1 Timothy 3:2-5
"A bishop, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?)" 1 Timothy 3:2-5

I agree with you in all but two points.
1) The Catholic Church is not Christian. Christians are Protestants. Originally protesting the Catholic Church. Society is try to blend them together and it just don't work.
2) Child molesters should not be put in jail. They should be executed.
