I have had the same feeling... I know it's pretty confusing but after all I decided not to believe in anything. My family is a pretty strict and conservative Catholic Family, despite that, I've come to the conclusion that the church was founded by HUMANS and all this teachings and rules comes from human people not from GOD. That is why I stop believing in all this things Catholicism and other churches make us believe. I don't believe in God nor in the devil. I think you die and that's it. Obviously this is my opinion. YOU are the only one who can decide what to do with your own life.

I think everybody ges through a faith crisis like what you describe at least once. For everyone, the answer is different, so I don't know that there's any direct answer. For me, the answer was to look into other religions and get a better understanding of how I felt about my religion as compared to others. Also, I took some time and read the Bible, cover to cover (if you break it down into roughly 2-3 chapters a night, you'll read it all in about a year). Once I gained a better understanding of what it was I had been practicing, I actually came away from it much more spiritual, but with the added bonus of believing what I practiced. I also changed religions in this process, but I feel very comfortable with that.

Hi! I was raised roman catholic, and went into a seminary after the 8th grade. By my own choice. As a class we were told to REALLY question All doubts that we had about religion, faith, etc.., And although I won't tell you what my final choice was,(that would unfair to you right now, I do not want to impose beliefs I have because that could lead you down a wrong path. These are Personal matters that each person needs to fulfill for themselves.) I can tell you that it is important for anyone to look into one's faith in order to KNOW where you stand. Don't be embarrassed by others who blindly follow.
I am not a priest. That's all i can say. Stay strong.

I have been confused since last year, difficulty in verbalizing narratives, short memory, and etc. I bet you are all ya, ya! I had a bilateral subderal hemotoma and all other physical stuff is compounding itself. I have two indentations on the top of my head. My friends attribute to horns that were sawed off. Okay, so I have burned a few pans, but no fire in the house, and let water run down the street, traveling at break neck speed. So, now it's time get on target: "When you're happy and you know it, clap your hands! " Yes!

It's natural for people to question god's existence. In my opinion, you don't have to go to church to be a good Christian. Church is only a place of instruction, although most people misunderstand this. Sometimes god's indifference confuses people, but that's how god has to be in other for everything to work. The world is already perfect the way it is, the flaws that make us question god's existence are part of it's perfection.

Even the great people of the bible experienced discouragement. Moses, Elijah, Job, Jeremiah, King David and John the Baptist to mention a few. But don't let the enemy keep you down. I believe it's when we most feel like this that we really need to seek God. It would be good if you had Christian brothers and sisters to encourage you. But if you don't, just do like David did in 1 Samuel 30:6: And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

I guess I should start by saying that at this point,I'm not a devote christian, although I do believe that there is a God who loves me,watches over me and protects me....but not what most would deem to be a "full fledged christian" as it were...I also beleive strongly in the power of prayer for healing and problem solving....it really does work...
Not long ago...a few years....I moved to the city I live in as a God fearing, bible toting Christian...well...the best I could be anyway.....In the church I had gone to in my home town,I had friends and was always active with someone from the church family....then when I moved here,I felt like an outcast at any church I went to,so I stopped going and went more into a mainstream way of life....a life with a little more freedom, less judgement, and more friends....
I tried going back a few times olny to be made felt like aI was a horrible person.....so gave up all together....I still once in a while pop in one of christian CD's or even open the Bible for one reason or another.....
A year ago I moved into a house where the fella living upstairs is a very very stong christian...almost fanatical about it....to a point where I think he's shorting himself on what life has to offer....I see alot of what I was in him...paranoid that people are out to harm him or his belongings/life style...afraid to try new things.....But...at the same time,he's genuine and that out weighs anything else....
Something that got on my nerves no ned during my churchgoing life, was people "acting" like christians...praying only when other christians are around, rather than a simple "hello" on Sunday morning, its this biog show of "Oh ..Its sooooo good to see you this blessed Lords day...."....made me wanna puke...
My neighbor is the real thing...likely the first true, down to earth,"here..this is me..take it or leave it"christian I have known in years....and many of his friends are the same way.....its awesome....
As of late,I have felt God working at me to come back to church and redevote my life...but I have fears about this.....I dont want to become paranoid and worried all the time.....I ahve music that makes me feel good, and I dont want to "have to" give that up....I have TV shows that I enjoy, but by most christian standards, they should be eliminated all together......I think even if an artist(music,TV,movies,or whatever medium they are good at)is not christian based,I can still appreciate them for their tallents and abilities......but from what I see and have been taught of the christian faith, all these things should be tossed in the garbage.....a waste in my veiw.....
I guess really what I'm looking to discover is if a person can be a follower, but at the same time be able to enjoy life and all the great things it has to offer weather it be christian based or not.....
There's things in my life that I know I need to get straight before its too late, but I also have things that I enjoy with great passion that I dont want to give up....My neighbor says that christians should shed the oldself and take on a new self.....I agree...but is that something you have to do at the risk of not being happy......You take away my music, and you might as well just put me in the ground now....
hope this help..

What IS religion? Isn't it your way of life? So, essentially, you're saying that your religion is one where you don't need God; that you don't need anything to live on, or thank anyone for making them available to you. And when your life ends, you don't care that it will not continue, whether in happiness or misery. You don't believe that there is any kind of moral dilemma that human intelligence can't resolve. And for all those people who live good lives, there is no reward; and those who live lives full of hate and carelessness, there will be no justice, they will get away with all their acts of abuse.
Is that the kind of world you believe in -- a world without God, and without hope? Pointless?
What I suggest you do, is look closely at what you REALLY want in and out of life, and meditate on how it can come about. Do you want to believe that there will be a justice for all the suffering on the earth? Do you want to believe that God wants and will bring about good for all the earth? Do you want to see the things that are still beautiful on this earth and know that they are attributes of a loving God who made these beautiful things and wants all things to be as beautiful?
And if you want these things and more, then work toward them by finding out from God himself what you need to be doing to get them -- study the Bible -- do what it says. It reveals the truth; and truth is incompatible with confusion. Confusion comes from the lies we have come to believe conflicting with reality.

Let me at least give you a reason why God exists. The human body is the ultimate machine. People have developed all kinds of efficient machines like the automobile but compared to these the human body is infinitely superior. It adapts to stress, it thrives and survives. It can even heal itself within certain limits. Certain cells regenerate; wounds and fractures naturally heal and the immune system can often overcome infections. And if you use this machine, it developes: If not, it shrinks and loses it’s function. Whenever we use an auto it wears out a little and finally malfunctions. But physical exercise causes humans to perform better at work or sports. And I haven’t even begun to mention the bodies amazing feats of data processing, analysis, synthesis, reasoning, inventing and creating.
The human body is a carbon based, chemically fueled, force-liquid-and-air cooled, bipedal, communicative, photochromatic, binocular, cellularly self-replicating, self diagnostic, self repairing tissuewisae, multidextrous, continuosly adaptive, computer controlled, biodegradable exhaust system machine, capable of short and long term memory with conceptual retrieval and integration, and precise decision making and creativity, able to copy it’s own DNA in the cells and to proof read the copies----truly an ultimate machine.
We know that to plan and construct something vastly superior like an automobile, it takes an intelligent human designer. An unbiased observer would have great difficulty denying the rational conclusion that the Ultimate Designer made the Ultimate Machine, the human body. One has to have a particular blind faith to believe that unaided molecules, arranging themselves by themselves with no intelligence to guide this arrangement(read……luck) could have created the Ultimate Machine, namely, humans.
Paly's argument of the 1700's still holds today. He said that if you are walking through a forest and you find a watch sitting upon a rock, you have 2 possible explanations: 1)It was designed and built by a watchmaker 2) It came about the same way the rock that it is sitting upon came about.....by random chance. Which explantion makes more sense?
Do you really believe that dumb mud could somehow bootstrap itself into intelligence over billions of years simply by random chance luck?
God is real and I believe you are on the right track because I believe Christianity and the bible is Gods revelation to mankind.

If you click on Today on Radio and then click on Achives you can get all kinds of Audio messages. I think his archives go back to 2006. If you click on 'This week on TV' you can get recent broadcast(in streaming video) and if you look up on top you’ll see ‘broadcast’ which will have ’video archives’ and audio archives’. This is the christian answer to your problem, which I believe is the only answer. He talks about depression, fear, worry, guilt feelings, lack of meaning in your life, slavery to habits and many more things from the bibles perspective. He talks about God and how you can know Him in a personal way. The topics are all labeled so you can pick and choose what you want to listen to. Also, find yourself a church(I recommend one of the Calvary Chapels if there is one near you) but there are other good churches. Just find one that believes the word and teaches it verse by verse. God does Love you(John3:16).
