Why are you not a Jew? What is your scientific evidence for being a Christian instead of a Jew?

Pleeeease. *Science* has *nothing* to do with it.

(I know I'm interrupting - sorry - as an atheist, but when I see "scientific evidence" stated... I gotta jump in.)

Both Christianity and Judaism completely ignore science. While there are some Christians and Jews who appreciate science, it's *in spite of* the religions to which they belong.
And it *was* worse - just think Copernicus and Galileo...

I was, and now I am not.
I have put away childish things.
You are born into a religion -- what Dawkins calls "The God of the Fathers".
If I had born a Jew, I would have been a Jew etc.
The goal is to bring the ignorant to the Enlightment of Science by any reasonable means possible.

Heh. "Scientific", yeah, as if that was necessary.

God wanted me. I wanted to come to Him and I trusted Him. Later I understood that I could not have even wanted to come to Him unless He was drawing me to Him.

Why not a Jew? Because God wasn't calling for me to be a Jew. He wanted me to be a part of the new Covenant. Why wouldn't He? That's where all the action is for the message that He wants out.

So there you go. Like it or lump it.

I agree with Brett A, scientific evidence for anything religious is an OXYMORON. there is no science in religion nor is there religion in science.

For me it has nothing to do with science. I am a christian and I believe that Jesus died for my sins. The Jewish faith believes Jesus was not God and was actually a false prophet. That's the difference between the two. It just comes down to whether you believe in Jesus or not. The Jewish people are still waiting and we believe he already cam. Hope that helped :)
