She made about $7000 outside the US, nothing in the US. We are both currently abroad. Should I file as single, married filing jointly or married filing separately?

Your only options are Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately.

If you file MFS, put "Non-Resident Alien" on the line that asks for your wife's SSN.

To file MFJ your wife must agree to have her entire world-wide income taxed by the US. You must attach a joint statement to your return, signed by both of you, attesting to this fact.

Your wife will also need an ITIN since she doesn't have an SSN and is not eligible for one at present. Attach Form W-7 to your first joint return along with the required proof of ID. Leave the space for her SSN blank. Send the package to the Austin, TX Service Center (not Philadelphia as noted on the Form W-7). The IRS will process the W-7 first, apply the number to your return, and process the return.

Get copies of IRS Pubs 54 and 519 for complete information for both of you.
