I mean like one of my family member just bought a new car not actually new but it's been use already 2004. Her old car is 1993 so she bought the 2004 one and drive it to her work place and some people treated her differently. some people in her work place think that she's showing off her "new car" and say blah blah blah blah...just because she replace the old 1993 car to 2004 some people in her work place treated her differently. I feel bad for her and just want to yell at those people. She's too nice that's why. Why do some people act this way??

That is so WEIRD! You'd think that that kind of behaviour is left in the school yard eh?

Good for her if she has a more comfortable car, they probably think she's getting paid more than they are, that's the problem.

What's wrong with showing off your new car? They're just jealous that they can't afford to upgrade themselves.

There is no reason why her colleagues should attribute motives when she buys a car of her choice, new or second hand. There is nothing extra ordinary for a person to buy a second hand car even if it is Mercedez-Benz.
But the culture of the society is such that people are interested in others affairs rather than theirs. Ask her to ignore the comments and do what she feels right.

It would be really nice if people would grow up, but many don't - they stay stuck in high school, with its little jealousies and resentments.
Hang in there with her - there's probably not much you can do or say that will make the jerks be nicer to her, so be there for her to complain to until they find somebody else to pick on.

She had replaced her old car with the new one, that means she thought of changing the style of living. So people around her may be little caring about her(in the sense they have no work). The attitude of her may be different, but it all depends on the people around her.

People don't like to see others do better.....jealousy. She just needs to be happy about her car and move on.
