For example, if I receive a monthly check for $1,000.00 how much would I pay in State/Federal taxes etc. (sorry about lack of details, let me clarify) I am single with no dependents, no deductions. Nothing abnormal, and I have not started this job yet all my jobs have been cash paying jobs so I'm not too familiar with taxes. I also am still living with parents and do not pay rent or anything. I am going to turn 21 this week and am a full time student.

It should say wxactly how much on your pay slip.

If it does not the ask the boss for a payslip that does each time you are paid.

Would need to know if you're married or single, have any dependents, any deductions.....

For starters, you'd pay $76.50 for social security and medicare taxes.
