The only way to be a successful 200 meter runner is to be good enough shape to go full out the entire race. Use your lean on the curve to slingshot you onto the straight away. Relax down the backstretch and finish hard. Don't forget to work on your lean at the end, that will make the difference between champion and losers in most races. Best of luck.

The 200 is a race that can no longer be paced. You need to be at 100% from gun to tape. I know that is not what you wanted to hear but at least you know that if you cannot burn at full tilt for the whole race right now, you need to train harder.
Good luck and God speed.

I also do the 200m and my coach has always taught me to run full out. Try starting on starting blocks to give you a faster start then work on your technique. You could also try chasing the person infront to help you get going at the start. Whatever you do don't take steriods. I hope this helps! Natz x

i know it sucks but you basically have to give 100% the whole time. bc this is a long, short distance race you dont have the time to start slow and build up. maybe for like the first20 m that is ok, but thats about all you should use to get to your full speed, if not sooner. good luck!

Its a sprint, you should be running it all out the entire time. Best way to improve your endurance without doing distance workouts it to go all out whenever your at practice and running sprints. Go all out until you crash and do that repeatedly, eventually you'll notice that you'll be running longer without falling apart.

The best way is to picture someone chasing you, like in a life or death situation. If that doesn't work try steroids.
