You don't. SmartStart is just a launcher (two-click access from tray) for the rest of Nero. Just start Nero and add your files.

Open Nero & choose data disk click add a window will come out with explorer browse to the folder where your photos are Select the photos you want & click add. Keep on doing till you put all you photos acording to capacity of your CD/DVD. When finished click next than in comming windows choose your setting & click burn. You are done.

the same way you'd burn movies or files...
Just click Burn new CD/Dvd, move the files from your hard disk and that's it.
