I believe there is a god, but I do not worship it or support any religion. I just want to know what is so good about god, particularly if any muslim people could answer this question. So what if it created the earth and humans? The earth would be so much better off without humans anyway. I can honestly say i have no respect for god, because i have no reason to. Everything would be so much better off without gods stupid interaction with everything.

Sorry you feel that way, but to know Him is to love Him.

The earth is a beautiful place and would be better off without sinful man on it, but man wasn't made a sinner. We choose to sin. It was not God's will that sin would enter the world. In the beginning man walked and talked with God in the garden, in the cool of the evening. I believe, although it's not told this way in the bible, that the man and the woman were covered with the spirit of God, and that there was no reason for them to be ashamed, because even though they were naked they were not unclothed. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but, something made them aware of their nakedness and man has been trying to cover his shame ever since. That's why Jesus came, to take away our shame. And if we believe in him then we can believe that we will live forever with him in a place where there is no sin, or pain, or death. Like God intended for man to live when he made him in the beginning.

I don't love god, I love God. There is a big difference. God is not an 'it'. He is spirit, and He came to earth in Jesus so that we can go to heaven when we die and not go to hell, which is a real place. That's part of why I love God. I also love Him because of the smell of a newborn baby, bluebirds coming back to the same nest year after year, the lines in my hard-working Daddy's face, the sweetness with which my mother can answer any question, the millions of stars at night, my elderly neighbor airing her Sunday dresses on the porch for springtime, watching cotton blossom, American flags on the front of homes and stores, etc, etc. Amen.

I love God because he loved me before I even accepted He existed.
He loved me while I was immersed in the world and in my sinful life.
He loves me now, when I succeed, and even when I fail.
I am harder on myself than He ever was. He taught me to relax a bit and just do what is right.
He took away my pain, when I didn't think it could even be reduced a bit.
He answered my prayer, even though I did not deserve a reply.
He blessed me, rewarded me, when I did not feel worthy.
He gave me Joy, when I would have settled for much less.
He gave me purpose, when I was just hoping for existance.
He gave me hope, when I thought there was none.
