nerves become more prominent when in standing position and problem dilutes when the legs are rested on to a pillow.no pain at present

They aren't nerves. They are veins. You may have varicose veins, and getting rid of them is expensive because unless it causes you a lot of pain it is considered "cosmetic" by insurance & they don't cover it. Try wearing (I know, granny time) support hose if they bother you and the compression of the hose will keep the veins from getting all swollen. Try to keep off your feet if they bother you.

The blue color I can answer for you that means poor circulation, possibly from the swelling, the swelling I can't answer for you could be several things. Have you injured your ankle? is it both ankles? how long has it been going on? what kind of medical history do you have? do you have neuroapathy? it would be a good idea to have a docter check it.

Are you sure you don't mean veins? When you stand up the blood is partly influenced by the force of gravity and there is a higher accumulation of blood in your feet. It's normal.
