As a Catholic, I'd definitely suggest looking into Catholicism. However, a conversion depends upon intensive research and reflection on your part. Ultimately, it's your decision.

If it is down to these 2 choices, then I would say Catholic because theyare a part of the historical Christian church where the Mormons are not.

By the way, to correct somebody's statement above:
Jesus Christ did NOT found the catholic church. He founded the Christian Church, which was led by Jewish Apostles, who later preached to the Gentiles. The entire leadership was of israelite blood.
The Romans were the ENEMIES of Christ and his apostles, and put them to death. Then after rome slaughtered the true Christian leaders, they decided to take the reigns without any authority or right to do so, and then they completely changed doctrine to suit their own political ambitions, and compiled the bible, leaving out many precious scriptures which they did not agree with.

Ladies and gentlemen, shake hands, go to your corners and come out...praying!
Some of my dearest friends and the greatest people I have ever met are Catholics...I am a Mormon. One of the sweetest, most heartfelt prayers I have ever heard was the "Our Father" as said by a Guatemalan woman in my behalf when I was ill.

First I would say search it out in your heart and mind, which church offers the most? Which church/religion do you feel has the most truth? Which follows along with your beliefs?
I am a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I LOVE the gospel and love the church. There are so many blessings we can enjoy in this life and the next...

As someone said
"Since the Catholic Church is the One True Church, founded by Jesus Christ Himself, I say go Catholic.
All the other Christian denominations are off shoots of Catholicism, or off shoots of off shoots of off shoots, etc."
Yes there was a church created by christ, after he died and all his apostles died, the church died.
The catholic church was formed a few hundred years... maybe 200-300 or so... after the death of christ.
If it was formed by christ it should be named "The Church of Christ". Not anything with "catholic" in it.

I am Catholic but i think you choose your faith based on what you actually believe , not on what i or the rest of Christians think. I do howevery appreciate that you have clearly pointed out that the fundamentalists are a ver small and impotent minority. Peace be with you

If you're serious and want the fullness of Christ's teachings, go to the Catholic Church.

A returned missionary who served in South America said that, in some countries where the official religion is Roman Catholic, that ALL citizens were automatically members of the RCC, whether they liked it or not. So, I don't trust that 1.1 billion number.

Wow you really don't know much about either religion. Mormons have thier own little version of the bible that is a bit distorted and they kind of ruined thier religion when that happened. Catholics use the actual Bible, not thier own version. Their teachings are usualy right but can sometimes take advantage over the bible. Protestants take the bible as their only point of teaching and therefore is usually correct.
Protestant!
