Perfect timing - you have 16 weeks or better. You don't want to lose more than one pound a week or you will not keep it off. If you starve yourself and lose weight too quickly, your skin will not have enough time to shrink properly and will sag. Not a pretty picture.
Consult your doctor to see how low you can go in calories. He will give you a diet sheet with suggested meals.
Eat healthy - don't totally eliminate anything - or you won't stick to it.
I'm trying to dump 5# now myself. I have simply reduced all portions, leaving out nothing. I'm sitting here hungry but I want those 5# gone. I'll get my payoff when I can button a skirt without gasping for air again.

To do this you need to lose 8 pounds a month or more. That's hard. But start by doing a 7 or 14 day cleanse that you get from a nutrition center like GNC. That alone will get rid of all the built up crud in your intestines. People drop an easy 10 pounds that way. Then follow through with a good nutrition program that's 5 smaller, very healthy meals a day instead of 3 bigger ones with snacks. Eat loads of veggies, moderate protein and very few carbs. Then drink a gallon of water a day and exercise religiously 5 times a week for 40-50 mins a day.
This is how you lose without starving and how you stay healthy while getting control of your weight and eating habits.

I have used and hightly recommend the Grapefruit Diet. I know it sounds gross (I hate grapefruit), but the diet allows either half a grapefruit or 8 oz of grapefruit juice, and I found it much easier to down a glass of juice than eat the fruit. Just a word of advice, make sure you get 100% grapefruit juice, or it won't be as effective. The juice acts as a catalyst to start the fat burning process along with the high protein content found in some of the foods the diet calls for. If you stick with the diet then it will work. I lost 15 in one week on this diet (I didn't even need to lose 5 lbs), but then again, I was like 17 and had an eating disorder for several years and I got really carried away, so be sure that you watch yourself with it. I've included a link with all of the info on this diet. Good Luck!

Eat lots of lean proteins like fish and lean cut chicken and veges! I'm not a big fan of vegetables, so when I'm watching my weight I get creative with salads- i toss in raw or barely cooked veges with lettuce- olive oil & balsamic- no creamy dressing. you'd be amazed at how many combonations you can come up with. watch your sugar intake- stick to drinking lots of water- no soda, coffee drinks etc. then just pick up your activity level. you don't need to go crazy if you make lots of little changes. take the stairs instead of elevator if it's only a flight or two. park a block or two away from your destination so you're forced to walk (in daylight hours and only if it's safe, obviously)... if you have the time and discipline, try to really work out for at least 30 mins a day. good luck!

Losing weight "fast" isnt on a typical basis very healthy. You need to lose weight slowly. If you want to keep it off, that is.
Anyway, who are you trying to impress? Do you really think people will be nicer to you because you're thinner? If thats true then Im sorry but your relatives must be very shallow.

That's an ambitious goal, but it averages about 3 lbs a week, it can be done. My best friend went on a low carb diet and she did really well....good luck...I hope you reach your goal!
And to the guy above me.....I hope your kidding...if not....you're an idiot!!!

fat people have sinned against God. You must carry 25 pounds of stone on your bare back and walk 3 miles a day, barefoot.
