It doesn't stunt growth at all. This is a myth propogated by opinion and what people heard, but has no scientific basis. Contact sports like football is much riskier than lifting weights. Many champion powerlifters and bodybuilders started at very young ages with no health effects.
Be sure you have an experienced adult show you how to lift correctly and safely. Focus on good form.

i don't see any reason you mustn't be becoming a minimum of a splash. in accordance to a internet site I visited on an identical time as finding up records for this answer, the human physique stops becoming around the age of sixteen for women folk, and 18 or older for boys. this could additionally be why you're an person once you're 18, yet i'm undecided approximately that. apart from, i'm tremendously specific that GH, the hormone that stimulates improve, has little to do with musle improve aside from to make your muscle mass equivalent in proportion as your physique grows. So all you have been doing is making your self a splash extra healthy and more suitable.

If you do not lift weight's properly then you will create stress on the epiphyseal plate (growth plate) on your bones. Disrupting these plates will stunt your growth depending on the damage done.
If you're 14 or 15, make sure your technique is right when you lift weights. You can do this by lifting the bar only, when doing bench presses. When you do it right with the bar, you can add weights.

no not at all
the only thing 14/15 year olds should avoid is doing squats with a barbell on your shoulders
THAT is what wills stunt your growth
everything else done in the right technique wont stunt your growth at all
bad technique however COULD result in you not gaining any muscle or worse, damagine joints, tendons or ligaments

resistance training does not retard the growth of the skeletal system in any method. and just like any other sport injury can be sustained when proper form is not stressed. never substitute weight for form and you will remain injury free. focus on compound exercises, the more efficient you are at these the stronger you can become. the training routine should be based on free weights and supplemented with machines that utilize both cables and levers
