she might not have known it was you calling
or she was just looking for something to talk about with you

She was most likely opening the door so that you could make contact and not sure what to say to you. She messed up by not responding to your message and now would like to know if you are still interested. Obviously she is : )

umm.. you should rather ask yourself why do you care so much about it??
Do u want us to tell you that she's totally in love with you? We really don't know and there's no way that any of us can know for real the reason why she asked you so...
If you like her, just ASK HER OUT and don't waste your precious time waiting for answers from people that are not psychics. I bet you'll have luck.
