God hates people who try to build hihgh to reach heaven, so obviously God organized the terrorist attacks on the WTC - hey, if you believe that he did it to the Tower of Babel, you should have no problem believing this too. And if you don't believe this, then you can't possibly believe the Babel story either, thus your Bible is fiction by default.

God is omnipotent, he knew that 9/11 was going to happen but did not warn anyone.

I remember sitting alone in my living room that morning watching the second plane fly into the South Tower, then remaining mesmerized for hours while the horrors of that day evolved, as an agnostic eventually feeling simply shocked that such events could have occurred and wondering whether, in fact, God was responsible and, if so, why? Now, distantly removed from 9/11 and able to analyze the events more dispassionately, I think that they tend to support an atheistic viewpoint unless one is prepared to develop a convoluted rationale in the Christian modality to explain the situation. Obviously, if you do not subscribe to the conspiracy theories abounding, then the crimes were perpetrated by Islamic terrorists harboring hatred toward the United States and a jihad interpretation of their religion. I doubt that one can truly resolve the conundrum theologically and logically because either the God of Christianity and Judaism allowed the worshipers of the Allah of Islam to prevail for reasons known only to them, or maybe, as you suggest, it is true that God hated the World Trade Center towers because they were too high , although that doesn't account for the Pentagon and aborted crash near Pittsburgh! Or perhaps, in fact, God does not care about this minor planet in a distant arm of a medium sized galaxy in a remote area of a Cosmos which is vast beyond our comprehension!! It's a case of "choose your theory" so far as I can see...

The purpose of the Babel story was to warn people not to try and become 'nearer' or 'as to' God. The WTC was an office building. I think your logic is the same they use in camcorders - fuzzy.

No, terrorists caused 9-11.

The tower of Babel was destroyed by God because of pride and rebellion. Their purpose was to unite and aspire toward the heavens, which was in direct contrast to God's command to move throughout the earth and cultivate it. They had Godless ambition.

Evil people caused 9-11. Evil people caused the chaos at the Tower of Babel. God allows people free will, and if they choose to be evil, why do you want to blame God?

No!!!! Hatred in men's heart did.
Gods problem with the tower of Babel is that they were trying to reach Heaven.

The Twin Towers were high because In NYC upwards is the only space available.

If all the world still spoke the same language and was as impressed with their ability to build a tall tower to reach heaven you might have a point. The fact we have many different languages and are not intent on reaching heaven makes me think your a bit off the mark.

Besides it was man who used his free will and irrational thinking who did that.

Our heavenly Father, the creator of the universe, has voluntarily limited his power on earth because He gave us humans the free will to choose good or evil. Rather than ask God why He permits the existence of evil, we should ask why we tolerate evil in our homes and our cultures. Yes, He is all-powerful. He also does not override our own choices. Nineteen men with box cutters and a compelling mission created the havoc of 9/11. Their sponsor was Satan, the destroyer, not God.

I believe the tower of Babel story because it is written in the Holy Bible. It's is not only Biblical it is Scriptural.

I don't believe your theory because it is just that...a theory. Besides, if your theory were even remotely right...the tower in Malaysia would have been the one destroyed.

ok wait. who says the trade towers were trying to reach heaven. The tower of babel was being built because the people wanted to put themselves at the height of God. The trade towers were not being built to reach God. Please think before posting, and read your Bible better.
