Yes I do. Very much so. And it pains me sometimes. Looking from a lofty perch to the signs of mankind down below, it seems like a great scar in the otherwise smooth verdant tree and shrub skin of the earth's surface to see man's impact. You see rolling hills accompanied by birdsong, and then there's this big ugly scar where there are buildings and roads. We do not live in symbiosis with our lovely earth. I am a moutaineer and backpacker, and I know the majesty and peace and wonder and beauty of creation away from civilization. In such places, I feel very connected with the earth, and things move within me and without me. I can have a thought at twilight and the chirp of the crickets and cicadas will swell as my thought comes to fruition, and amazingly drop silent when my train of thought reaches its intended conclusion. To be in sync with nature and realize it's not a coincidence is quite enlightening and an experience bordering on the profound. I would invoke the name of the deity, but you wouldn't understand what I mean by that, so I won't.

Yes. When I go open the door to my house and step outside I connect with the earth. And when I trip and fall on my butt, I also connect with the earth.

I grow things. That's connecting with the earth. Watch her soil, along with the sun's warmth bring forth plant from mere seed. Watch the plant grow, mature and bear (fruit.) That even kind of makes a simple thing like growing a plant or a garden sound spiritual, doesn't it? "Hugging a tree when you get near it,,,,digging the snow and rain and bright sunshine..." From the song Draggin A Line sung by Tommy James and the Shondells...

How could I not? In my opinion, there is a single force that connects all of which we know, & all of which we do not yet know. "Interconnectedness." I've used the metaphor, that everything is made of the same "stardust." & in that sense, we are all effected by everything--TO THE EXTENT that we allow ourselves to be aware. I'm certain that those who are well informed, know that humans have abused the "earth," & yet, there is so much beauty here. "outside"--"inside," is there truly a line drawn?

Yes. Because (as silly as it sounds--and similar to the famous commercial) a tear is almost shed every time I see people abusing it. I know I'm not perfect, but I try my hardest to respect other living things (even plants.) It seems to me that I can "feel" nature.
Okay....let the thumbs downs begin...

Yes, I try to, at the dawn of every season. It reminds me that life is a gift and the Earth is made to provide for and to nurture us.
