Actually the Bible was written within the first 20 years after Jesus died. It was not collected into one book with the Old Testament until later.
The Old Testament also refers to God as Abba translated Father. Your not turning God into a man but recognizing the authority as one would a father. It also indicates your relationship to Him as a part of His family.

The Jews have a theory of Ein Sof - the inifinte idea of God, undefinable, unknowable.

When God is addressed in more human terms, it is allowing our finite minds to wrap around an infinite idea. It allows God to become more personal to us - to become intimate with God. It is a way for us and God to grow close and begin to realize who and what God really is.

When the term Father is used - it is just to help people become closer to God. Although many now-a-days make the mistake of thinking that this means that God is male. God has no gneder, no physical existence. God is beyond all that. It was typical in Jewish society at the time of Jesus to use close, personal terms - such as Abba when talking to God. A friendship with God.

The mistake happens when one allows Father, or other terms, to fully define who and what God is. That is where the problems arise from.

Jesus called God Abba (translated Daddy). He taught US to call God Father

The Bible as we know it began long before the time of Jesus. The New Testament, again as we know it, was written (for the most part) within the forty to eighty years after his death. At a time when people who actually knew and walked with him were still alive.

No. As above,so below. Lower forms of life than us have fathers. My dog does, although I can't say his old man's ever been very dedicated to his offspring. A higher form can still be a father. But you know,it's really a term not a designation. God is the father of humankind. Nothing to do with procreation.

The word Father is, by followers of the Christian religion, applied to God, whom they believe is creator of the universe and humanity and who, according to them, is also the Father of Jesus Christ.

I see God as a Source of the Creations of Souls and the Universe and we are apart of God

Many Christians use other terms and images to refer to God. Some refer to God as our nurturing mother, others use the terminology of a lover's relationship (following the Song of Solomon). The key point is that it's all metaphor and analogy, because language cannot describe God, and human beings cannot fully comprehend God.

It is a shame in this late day of this final generation that you have not yet come to know God. And yet you come here to ask silly questions that have little or nothing to do with revering Him.

I guess you know what it is you are doing? But please allow me to suggest to you that you start reading the Word of God a little each day and witness the wonders that the Word gives to you. Faith. That is how you attain this wonderful gift from God.

Then and only then will questions such as the one you wrote will never have to be written by you again.

Time is about up for the free gift of Grace that God has in His Will to provided us with.

Can you imagine, a sinner repenting of their sins and accepting God's Saviour Jesus Christ and then becoming a co-heir with Jesus to gain everything. WOW. I know this word is going through your mind right this minute.

I have never been taught this before you might say to yourself. Me neither till I got down on my knees in humility before God and asked Him to forgive me.

He will then lead you to His Word who is Jesus Christ Himself. Don't ever forget that Jesus Christ is the Word of God.

So there you have it. Now go and do the right thing.><>

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He becomes our brother. That makes God our Heavenly Father. Christians, are His adopted children.

Having been grafted into the family of God, calling Him Father sounds very appropriate to me. Christ himself called God Father, which was considered blasphemy at the time. Given that he was indeed God's Son, and that he paved the way for us to be called children of God by dying an atoning death on the cross for us, I don't deem it a sin to attribute the name Father to God.
