How is the Olympus fe230 camera?

It's good, but not fab. I guess every camera has something special about it- and what's special about the fE230 is that it's thin. If thin is the most important feature, and you want to stay under $200- it's a good choice.

Instead- if you are looking for better image quality, more zoom, image stabilization, high ISO performance, manual controls, wide angle- or something else special- look elsewhere.

SpaceCowboy showed you another great choice for indoor- lower light work, the Fuji F20.

It's pretty good. You might find the LCD screen on the back is low res, but it takes good photos. I've always like Olympus.

I compared it here at dpreview.com so you can see how it compares to one of my favs.

it is actually not that great.

You should go with a camera from the Canon Powershot Line, they deliver the best quality photos, and are very easy to use.
