You see, I support woman’s' rights. But killing the innocent seems too extreme. Now that you’re alive, what do you think if your mother had aborted you?

I'm mean how would you feel if your mother had revealed to you of wanting to abort you?

What I can say about this subject is... Once a long time ago there was a young girl who had an abortion. She was ignorant, selfish, immature and had no idea what mistake she was making, deleting a life. No comprehension of the violent way the child inside her was suffering in its death. She has spent her life living with regret, remorse, guilt and shame. If she could take it all back she would. All she can do is hope and pray that the child will forgive her.

If my mother told me of such a thing, I'd feel compassion for the young woman she was, who must have been frightened and upset and felt unready to have the huge responsibility of a child.

If I actually had been aborted, I wouldn't know about it, so I couldn't feel anything.

I like Eldad9's answer, myself. That leads to another question: suppose my parents had never met? My mom's egg would have met up with another man's sperm....my dad's sperm would have met up with another woman's egg. Would two different halves of me be included into two totally different people?

If my Mother would have aborted me, I would never know. But she would live with it for the rest of her life. She might not think about killing me, when she is young, but my spirit would haunt her for the rest of her life and as she got older and sat in her rocking chair , she would think of me. It is said that anyone who kills another , will never have Peace of mind. I firmly believe that any Mother who aborts the little Soul of her un-born child , will never have Peace.

I guess it would bring up a whole lot of questions... what was the reason for wanting it... why did she not go thru with it...

I think, since obviously she didnt if she was 'telling me' that I would try to put myself in her place at that time and see things from her point of view... and then hug her and say I am glad she didnt

I wouldn't know about it, wouldn't be discussing it, and I wouldn't be here killing time on YA.

My mother, by the way, was very profoundly clear about not having wanted me. She couldn't possibly have made the point any plainer. But abortion was against her religion, so she had three kids she didn't want. Two of them died in infancy. If she thought she could've aborted me, believe me, she would've gladly done it.

If I had been aborted I never would have known about it, so it really wouldn't have mattered to me. It's not like I'd be sitting on a cloud worrying about it.

It wouldn't have been me that was aborted.

Would it be fair if your parents had sex a few minutes earlier or later, resulting in a completely different child? Hey, maybe it already happened and you're that child and the real you was never born! What a tragedy!

Considering what I know about my mother, if she had chosen to abort me, it would have been because she had a darn good reason.

I would be glad that she decided to do the right thing and not have me murdered because I was an inconvenience to her. It's a shame she couldn't exersise self control in the first place.

OK genius how would we know if we were aborted? i don't think it would really matter because we wouldn't have thoughts of ever living. So this question cancels itself out.
