I have a tattoo on my right shoulder blade, a tattoo on my lower back, a tattoo on my left side from under my ribs to below my waist line, and a small tattoo on my right side on my hip. Nothing is really in an "inappropriate-to-show" place except maybe the bottom of the one on my left side which isn't really an issue because it's not an important part of the tattoo. Anyway, with my first tattooed summer coming up, I want to show them off as best as I can. What's best, like a tube-top or a halter top or what? I'm kind of fashion-retarded, so I need advice. Nothing too immodest, please! And if you could tell me where I can get this kind of top, that would be awesome as well.

If you have the body or are comfortable to wear it try a halter top the kind that really has no back just a string to tie it in the back.something that pamela anderson would wear.It depends were you live but you could buy it at any store that sells club clothes or online.go to greatglam.com they have sexy revealing clothes.

I think you might have trouble finding a top that shows of all your tattoos to good effect at the same time... it might be better to decide to show them off one at a time, and shop accordingly.
Customising things could help, as well, particularly if you aren't keen to swan around in teeny-tiny tops. T-shirts are particularly easy to customise. There's a book called Generation T with lots of ideas ( http://www.generation-t.com/ ). Admittedly some of them are absolutely ghastly, but some are great, and it just gets you into the idea of hacking t-shirts to pieces and putting them together in different ways. Give it a try; it's easier than you'd think and you can come up with unique tops that really flatter your tattoos.

with summer coming up you need to keep your tattoos out of the sun as much as possible. please only show your tattoos at night when they are in no risk of being damaged by the sun. every time uv rays make contact with your tattoo the ink is damaged. over time the ink will break down and your tattoos will end up looking like the tattoos that old sailors have on their forearms. please protect your tattoos and skin, you'll be glad you did later in life.
as for showing them off you can wear any kind of halter top or tube top. it's probably best to only show off one part of your body at a time. you don't want to have your shoulder, lower back, ribcage and hip all showing at one time... because people will think you are a tramp. i often buy cute shirts and cut the neck out of them and make it into a boatneck shirt that way i can show off my back tattoo just a little bit. there are plenty of trendy shirts that you can buy to show off your tattoos. just take a day and go to a cute store and try a bunch of stuff on, see what works best for you.

I think that a tube top would be good...you could then show your lower tattoos and your shoulder one as well. The ribs one might be a little more difficult unless you want to wear a really small top...

Try wearing just a plain tank top that you could get from Hollister or American Eagle but get a tank top that's a little short you oculd wear it with some kapreess..!

a halter top would be best for showing off the shoulder blade, but otherwise its probably best to wear bikini tops or cropped shirts and low risers. sry if that didn't help

ummm well in those places you'd need either a tube top to show off the outer ones or if you want to show off the one on top go with a halter
bathing suits are good for showing off skin...go to a pool and wear a halter bathing suit top!

Those little dinky muscle man tees look good on a girl with tats, especially if she is well rounded, if you know what I mean...Maybe a tube then just to keep it together.
