About a month ago, my daddy started sending me to charm school so I can learn to act like a "proper young lady." He said it will help me later in life. I go to this school once a week for an hour and a half and we practice our social skills.

I am 16 and somewhat spoiled. Thank you and good day,

All, please note my mother is deceased, and my daddy admits he has never been pretty a proper young lady, hence the need to call on an expert. Thank you and good day.

My grandparents sent my mom and both my aunts to John Powers back in the 50s and 60s. Mom thinks it was great and my grandmother has often wished she could have sent me and my girl cousins. I think it's a good thing if you plan on being in a professional or very prominent setting (like in the public eye a lot). As your mother isn't there to teach you I think your dad is doing the best he knows to do. I'd just study and do your best, I really think it will benefit you later.

You know what Lori, I can see the difference that Charm School is working for you. I bet you're also more communicative with your dad too, from how it sounds lately. With the help of charm school you'll end up better than you could have been. I never went to a charm school, since there's none around here. ps. you're not being the brat you were for what I can tell. When I got onto YA You were awful. And you're pretty pleasant now. Keep up the good work.

I hated going to charm school when I was younger but I learned how to behave in most environments. The skills you learn now will give you a better opportunity of jobs. It will make you look smarter. I loved the conversational challenge.

It sounds to me like you are a very fortunate young woman, count your blessings, and enjoy!

Don't forget to pass the blessing on in future years by doing kind, generous and thoughtful things for other people.

I was sent to charm school but when I got there I said "How's it hangin' teach?" and was immediately kicked out.
