This sounds like a scam that didn't work, and your not the first victim. In the future, always call the Police. Let them make the decision. Second of all, you were on private property accessible to the public. A ticket could have been issued. The Police could, and should have charged her with making a false Police report. Since they didn't, don't waste your time, chalk it up to experience, and don't let it happen again. Eventually she'll be prosecuted. Maybe next time, she'll try it with an off duty officer. Poetic justice.

ha i really liked this story...
Its hard to say though without seeing the car, but even at low speeds there can be minor damage (such as scratches or dents) it may not affect the running of the car but if there is anything at all put a claim in through insurance, it may be not much but it'd definitely piss her off.
Legally she is not gulity of anything that will stand up in court because you did leave the scene of the accident. And if your car really has no damage then she cant be charged at all.
Maybe consider taking an avo out against her saying that she has acted in a non-appropriate manner towards you and you believe she will come after you for revenge and that you are genuinely scared of her. If they buy it then she'll receive this apprehended violence order preventing her from coming near you and if she does breach it she can be charged.
Probly wont work that well but hey on the bright side love you dont have to worry anymore :)

I've been in a similar situation and going ahead and pressing charges etc.. just prolongs then length of time YOU have to be involved with this crazy person. It is emotionally exhausting to do the whole charging and court thing. If it were as easy as making your claim and "letting the system do it's work", it would be wonderful. I'd say go for it. But he reality is that you will have to invest time, money and emotion into this.
What goes around comes around. Take comfort in knowing that one day someone will get her good. If you aren't interested in $$, I would cut your loses and get on with your life. She's already caused you enough time and energy. Don't waste more on her. It will be healthier for your mental well being in the long run to yet karma get her.

I know you'd love to get her back for the distress she put you through, and she certainly would deserve it, but my advice would be to simply just drop the whole thing. You were lucky that the DA dropped it. You don't have to worry about it anymore. If you try to dredge it all up again, or if you try to take revenge, things may just come back to bite you. You're in the clear now, so just put it in the past. Don't stew about it or think about it anymore. File it away in your past memory and get on with your life. Some things are better handled this way.

the two witnesses could be charged of filing a false report, obstruction of justice; judge wont give you not much money if any at all if you sue her, but what will you sue her for? emotional distress doesnt cut it in court and there was no damage to the car. trying to sue her would probably cost you more money than you would make.

Good luck trying to get anything out of that, it won't happen, the DA dropped the charges, there is no law against making you upset.

Yes, in America, you can sue anyone, for anything, but you need witnesses, an attorney, pay court costs up front, etc. Or you can do like the bible recommends, "If you cannot forgive others, God cannot forgive you." Is it worth it to you? If so, then go ahead with your lawsuit.

You can probably sue her for something. Check with a lawyer. The police can also charge her with making a false complaint and wasting police time.

i could request to be considered my somebody else, she sounds merely undesirable! on the top of the day your wellness and the toddler's wellness is what concerns and if she makes you bleed after an examination its obvious she is doing something incorrect. Dont enable her touch you back and if she makes yet another rude remark, supply her a slap!

that sucks and she's physco but if there is no damage get over it. everyone has to sue everyone-just because you were upset??? you know people get upset everyday over stuff-like little johnny finding out santa isn't real and bob getting fired from his job! if you were hurt or there was damage i would say sue her but its not worth it....just drop it!
