My hubby and I have a wedding to go to on Saturday. The ceremony is in a church at 2pm with the reception following at 3pm (at a different location). I am also in my ninth month of pregnancy and don't have a lot of options in my closet, and really don't want to have to buy anything new. :) I have a knee length, cotton, flower print dress...would that be appropriate? Or I also have a cute black and white print skirt, but the only top I have to go with it right now is black. Anything you can suggest would be very much appreciated!! Thanks!

We are in Oregon and it is supposed to be partly cloudy and about 70 degrees on the day of the wedding.

Sweetie you are in your 9th month!! You wear whatever you want. TRUST ME. No one is going to be saying "I can't believe she'd wear something that casual to a wedding" they are merely going to be glad you came in your condition. At 9 months, you wear whatever you are confortable in and even the most bridezilla bride will be happy you are there, and not in the slightest bit concerned about your condition.

As for buying something new, you are right. That is stupid. You'll never be able to wear it again. Even if you happen to be needing to dress up at 9mo again, chances are you won't be the same size at that time as you are currently. Just sit at the back of the church so that you can sneak out to go to the bathroom during the service.

A knee length cotton floral skirt first off is very appropriate for a spring afternoon wedding. Afternoon weddings are not as formal as evening weddings. The black and white print skirt is quite appropriate as well. There is nothing wrong with wearing black to a wedding and especially as it's black and white print. I'd go with whatever makes you feel better, though personally I think the floral is a bit more "spring" time. And to me 70 degrees is when I want to break out of the winter blah and into the spring time.

Where do you live? Is it cold out? Which outfit looks better on you? Its darn cold outside here, so I would wear the warmest of the two...unless it looks hideous.

Personally, I would wear the skirt and shirt combo. Its slimming because its black and I just hated being pregnant in flower prints....they made me feel like I was wearing a mumu (pretty sure I spelled that wrong, but you get the idea) :)

Besides, wearing black to a wedding is perfectly acceptable nowadays and any woman there who has a lick of sense knows its hard to find good maternity clothes.

I also have a friend's wedding to go to on Saturday ... this one is in the evening so I'm wearing a red dress, but since yours is in the afternoon a flower dress would be fabulous!! As long as you're comfortable in it, then it is fine. Actually, either outfit would be fine, but it sounds like the flower print dress is more spring-like. Congratulations on your baby!!!

Go w/ the skirt and black top. Even though it is an afternoon wedding, you are 9 months pregnant and will probably be more comfortable and classy looking in black. I don't think anyone will say anything about you wearing black, b/c you are pregnant and your options are limited.

If it's going to be warm outside (depends on your location), then the dress sounds fine. You're right to not want to buy something new - you'll never wear it again!

I'd go with the floral dress - maybe fancy it up with a fabric shawl and accessories
